You have a most lovely tone on your ocarina here. You mentioned on an old ocarina channel that you are also a handwhistler and that you do it well. This was also as long ago as this video. Do you still handwhistle and are there videos that you can post. I would love to watch them. I have one question for you, why when you release your notes at the end of phrase or when you take a breath does your pitch drop down? When I handwhistle, the note that I end on, is always in tune when there is no more note with my release. I use Professional Diaphragmatic Breath Control using the entire bottom section of my lungs that hangs down in my stomach area. I use the diaphragm muscles in my stomach to push my stomach out to make room for the bottom part of my lungs to expand. Then I take are into my upper lungs to top it off. But, I keep my air pressurized from my diaphragm muscles in my stomach area to give gentle kick as I release the note so that it stays on pitch as it ends. It also helps me to extend the air to make my phrases three or four times as long. I can Handwhistle a phrase on one breath for 20 seconds or more and have examples up on my Channel. I can also sing, using the same technique, and hold my phrase out for 20 seconds singing, "Sherry" by the Four Seasons singing the entire first verse on one breath. I use my entire two vocal octaves of full voice and then a full octave of falsetto. Wishing you all the best in 2024 and hoping that you see this comment and get back to me.

Well.. even bad ocarinas are good for practicing :p if you get good on a bad ocarina you will sound amazing with a good one. Just start saving, and get one eventually ;)

Plastic in general is a bad material for Ocarinas. I do not know how it compares before and after recording, but ask someone that isn't yourself how it sounds compared to the recordings. about the mic. I use a professional microphone. Samson G-Track. And I remove disturbances and such in Audacity afterwards.

Any idea why it does that? Do you use a special kind of mic...like a professional one that's used by most audio studios? Is there something I do wrong? Idk what it is I just know what happens when I try to record it...

could be either your technique, or the ocarina itself. What kind of ocarina is it? and are you sure you're using it correctly?

I don't see it as something from zelda, Say how do you get such an amazing sound quality, when I play it, it sound...sorta wierd...like its not even the ocarina....why & how......? I would upload what I mean but I might be something as simple as its to far-close to the mic.....

You don't need to top it. Some things are un-topable! This video here was BEYOND perfection. Just make all of your videos just as great! :D It's not about topping it, it's about changing it up. Maybe add different scenarios or something? But I reaaaally look forward to your next videos! ^w^

@totten94 So in other words, I'm not dead, and subscribing doesn't hurt, now does it. You would get notified if I did upload another video. I do plan on adding more to them though, as I feel like I have to top my last one, which can be a bit hard as I got help from a professional on that one.

@doremimiable I do plan on making more videos, but they won't be very frequent as I have problems becoming any better with my really busy sceduale. I stopped recording because I hardly have any time left anymore. And this instrument is not my first priority, I have school, Training, and work and friends that come before that, and that gives me a total of possibly an hour or two every two weeks that I can use for other things, and because I've "met the wall", I chose to get better at the piano..
