How to stain cherry. Antique cherry look in minutes!!
Переглядів 9 тис.Рік тому
How to get an antique cherry look in minutes. Cherry is very beautiful and has a lot of potential. I have found that when people want "cherry" they want the antiqued cherry look that takes years or decades to achieve otherwise. Staining never works and even if it did, the wood would darken over time and change color anyway. This technique can be used on any piece, but in rinsing it, it does rai...
Steel gazebo build Fall 2022 in Phoenix AZ. Designed and built by L&S Steel
Переглядів 159Рік тому
I had the pleasure of helping out L&S Steel with their latest build. This is a beautiful and massive structure that is causing quite the hubbub with the neighbors. It may have something to do with pergola envy, but that is yet to be seen. I wasn't able to see the finished product, but it will be beautiful, no doubt. If you're in need of ironwork in the Phoenix area, look up L&S Steel, you will ...

    So what did you use on that Second and third Pass? A short glimps of the can looked blue. But it couldn't have been the can you first said no too! Or was it?

    Try oven cleaner on a glue joint piece. Would you then end up with as many separate pieces you started with?

      Worked for me...I would omit the obvious rattle can clear enamel or lacquer finish and use my own sealer, most likely General Finishes Arm-R-Seal Satin.

    Some fractal lightning HV burns on outside surfaces would look killer on that table. Seriously nice build man, but I'd have put Tornado men on the bars for better ball control imo

    Questions for you.. With the panels and scarfing plywood, the intructions say the sheets should be 4x16’ but after the joint it measures 4x15’6.. Is that how it’s supposed to be or do you need to have more than one joint per piece of plywood to make up the extra 6 inches? Thanks!

    • @lldworks8559
      @lldworks8559 Рік тому

      Great question. I had to glue two 8' and one 4' panel up for each side. So there was 2 scarf joints per panel. I hope this helps, thank for watching!

      Thank you! I got the plans from Roger Fletcher's book "Drift Boats and River Dories". It is a great book and has something like 16 plans in it. You can build the boats from them, you just need to scale them up. I hope this helps, cheers!

    I had a sander for less than 2 months and it burned. I bought another one and had to return that one too. I had a craftsman sander that I replaced after 15 years because I needed to replace the pad and couldn't find one. My Milwaukee tools have never burned out.
