This has to be one of the best versions of My Kantele I've heard. There's a mellowness to it somehow, can't put it into words. Wow, wish I had known about Amorphis back then, would have loved to have seen this show.

He is the only male vocalist I've heard that can sound both demonic and innocent.

This was an amazing gig. We sat on this little balcony at the back and it was a really hot day, but I loved every minute. I'd never heard Amorphis before but it was amazing to just absorb the sound and the music. I think the really warm tones from the guitars (and also Tomi's really deep vocals) really added to the atmosphere.

Con todos mis respetos, creo que Tommy Joutsen es de largo el mejor cantante de la historia de este grupo. Existe la tendencia de mitificar y glorificar siempre épocas pasadas pero es que en el caso de Amorphis en mi opinión no hay duda alguna. Y no sólo eso, sino que Tommy coge las canciones de la época inicial de Amorphis y las desarrolla con una facilidad pasmosa dándoles su toque personal. Hay que rendirse a la evidencia.

This is from 2007? No shit? I never had any idea that they'd play again after Type o Negative. I love Carnivore. Carnivore and Slayer are my favorite thrash metal bands.

Tomi is a much more powerful singer especially live … I saw them 5 years ago and the couple songs they played from this era sounded better with Tomi …. just my opinion

It's a pity that Pasi's ability for growls was underutilised during his stance in the band... I'm talking about the studio albums.

Amorphis una banda innovadora que sentó las bases del metal moderno. El uso de voz limpia alternada con la gutural creo que antes de ellos no se había usado, al igual que el uso de teclados y melodías folk. Tremendos!!!
