@coleus Thanks for watching. That's a great question. I used onx and saw that I was on em land. My understanding is that if you are on the sp land, it's artificial, and if you are on em land you follow their regulations, which makes sense. Good luck and have fun of you get out there!

I tried with a battery pack jumper but no luck. Going to try jumping with my other car today.

@@milehyandriver or try charging the battery ALL the way up too. Yeah, it’s a long shot, but battery is cheaper and easier to replace than a starter. Plus, it’s the place to START. Seen way too many people replace their starter only to have it do the same thing and find out battery, or cables, were at fault. You can’t return a starter after it’s been installed so start with the basics.

So I did what you said, it wasn't the battery. I started with simple stuff, cleaned the battery heads, jumped it and when that failed, I took a look at the starter and I saw that it was cock eyed and wasn't seated properly. The mounting bolts fell out. I'm trying to find replacement bolts but no luck yet. Thanks for your help on this.

Haha I was not expecting to catch a monster my first time ice fishing for pike. That was literally my first pike through the ice. A lot of lessons learned from this! I hope others can learn from mistakes made in this video. I appreciate the feed back and thanks for watching. Hopefully I land the next big momma next chance I get. No excuses. That one sucked.

Give shiners a try. I dropped my first shiner down and I saw a big mark come in on the fish finder, went down to my shiner, I felt the weight on my line and set the hook. Once I threw on a steel leader, fish would come in and check it out but leave. Seems they were shy of the leader and bigger treble I had but liked the shiner. Let me know how you do would love to check out the catch!

Haha I was hoping people could feel the pain I experienced. What a fun fight and experience. I know fisherman exaggerate but I think it was a possible state record breaker. The head would not fit up the 8 inch hole. The pike love those dog! Should do a water dog vs hot dog video. Haha

Dude the head was bigger than my 8 inch hole. I couldn't believe what I witnessed. I wish I took out my phone and got footage looking down the hole.

Thank you! This would be my biggest kept fish. I have never gotten an official measurement on my biggest C and R PB. I just get a photo and back into the water and released. I think the winter trout are fatter because they are feeding heavy for winter and for spawning. Thanks for watching the fight!

Yes sir, there are no size limits on Trout out here in CO. The fish here feed on baby crayfish and their meat can be as red as a salmon. Really good eating but I plan to have this girl mounted. I'll have to do a Trout catch and cook sometime. And thank you! Would love to try the saltwater some time. One day.

@@milehyandriver there has to be somebody that can mount that fish from dimensions and color displayed in a picture. You should be able to eat it.

I was hoping too. Once I dropped an anchor I spooked them. I plan to get back out there and hopefully stick a few. Going to take River out for his first ride soon!
