I had 2 do my manifolds twice in a 100k but my tapping noise while in eco mode required a full timing job to repair

@jessebrown7544 nah didn't have to go that far. Just timing chain, guides, phaser, oil pump, water pump ect

I was just curious I've notice other things like when MDS kicks in at 60 mph it shifts weird like lack of power. Shift over into manual mode it drives fine. I was wondering, tho bc im 174,000 miles on stock cam so far

Mds is guna shift wierd running on 4 cylinders where as manual mode keeps in running on 8. Mine definitely has a delay while in eco as well. As far as cam and lifters go, imo if your hemi isn't misfiring or doesn't have loud tapping noises at idle I'd just send it. Keep good oil in her and don't let it idle excessively.

I commented before going out to put the pump on. Apparently, this aftermarket pump is a right-hand pump or one that is mounted on the right side of the engine so when it is put on the right side of the engine, the vent vacuum line will be facing down and the directional gas flow arrows will be in the right direction from the tank port to the carb port. I tried mounting it on the left side of the engine turned around and it will not mount without shimming it out and using longer screws. The original pump looks like this one and when I put the new one over it the ports are in perfect alignment with the old one and the filter circle is to the outside like it is on the old one. Unless these directional arrows are wrong, I will have to mount it upside down with the vent vacuum side up and extend the vent hose from the bottom to the top side of the pump to attach it to the vacuum port.

I just replaced one on my Kubota that has the same set up, should be a direct fit replacement in the same spot with same orientation.

​@@McGo101 This pump is exactly the same as the original but if mounted on the left side of the motor as the original is the gas flow arrow from the tank side port is pointing toward the tank and the arrow going to the carb port. is pointing away from the carb toward the tank. The original does not have the arrows but these arrows should indicate gas flow direction. So, although this pump mounted in the same place is exactly like the original with the vacuum port facing down and a port to the left toward the tank and a port to the right going to the carb the gas flow arrows are backward. RH is stamped into the plastic which I assume means it is a pump meant to be mounted on the right side of the motor as I guess some are. I needed a LH pump. If I put the pump against the right side of the motor with the vacuum port down then the gas flow arrows are pointing in the right direction. So, this is a Right Hand pump orientated for right side of motor mounting. It will work on the left hand side if I turn the pump upside down with the vacuum port facing up and the arrows facing toward the carb Then connect a sleave to the vacuum line with a short piece of hose extended to the top of the pump to the vacuum port. Probably take some small copper tubing and bend it in a U shape so the top of the hose can be connected to another short hose to get the bend without kinking it.

That I'm not sure about. Iirc I just ordered mine from rockauto and they seemed to do ok 👍

I believe they are 25mm or 1 inch spacers.

Tapping noise has been great since using pennzoil ultra platinum 5w20 and oem filter. Other stuff is showing its age tho 😄

@@McGo101 a couple weeks back started hearing similar inconsistent tapping while cold, doesnt seem to stay once warm. Changed oil to pennzoil plat hm 5w20 but still there. I have a short of it on my channel. Just dont know what it is and it got me worried

@Simpinski I'm guessing you checked for broken manifold bolts? I've had to do mine twice in 100k. Taps when cold when they break

@@McGo101 by the way my car is a challenger not a ram. And i have briefly checked the side heatshields towards the back for any movement since that apparently is a good sign the bolts are broken, but they seemed to be in place. I havent done any deep diagnostics since i have much less room than the rams.

36mm socket, some say theirs is 35 on the same truck so might try to have both handy. I don’t know on thread pitch, but no stores had them handy. Had to buy an axle to get the nut. Lol

@matt9741 I recently did my repair. Both my cv axles were replaced with aftermarket by the dealership before, and the nuts were 35 mm. The new ones which were cardone hd were 36 mm and I installed them myself and saved some cash. My ram is a 2011 ram 1500 sport 4wd. Your video helped. Thanks alot.

@ryanv7195 I just noticed my inner boot on my Cardone axle is ripped so I'll be doing one again shortly. Got 5 years out of it and rockauto is replacing it under warranty which is a bonus. Glad my vid helped man cheers 🍻

@McGo101 5 years! That sounds good to me. What is the warrenty? I didn't even check . I got mine off rock auto as well. Was cheaper to buy the HD version than the regular one on Amazon canada. Hope mine last like yours.

I'm guna guess no to that. This plow is designed to attach to the front arms on a ztr.

I would be concerned myself. I would fill and recheck the next day after a short drive to ensure it is infact full. Also just double check u pulled the right drain bolt

Mine had an abnormally loud tick, had the dealer re adjust the valve lash and its been great ever since! 👌

My local dodge thought it was my torque converter.. however I proved It by jacking all 4 wheels off the ground and had the wife put it in drive and get eco mode to light up and I used an automotive stethoscope on the front timing cover and that told me where my issues were. Ask the dealer to do the same. Keep us posted. Good luck 👍

@@McGo101 definitely, lucky it should still be under warranty too. I also reside in Ontario so your prices made it even better.

Update on status: eco system failed completely went for the road test with the dealer they said they can't hear anything... The next day eco system fails engine light is on waiting to hear back from the dealer.

Mine turned out to just need the valves adjusted.

If the pto switch is working ie trying to turn the blades then I would look closer at the belt make sure it's on properly and not binding up on pulleys ect and if that's good i would be suspect of the pto clutch. Gl

@@McGo101 yes the belt is done properly, I’ve replaced belt a few times before just never had this problem happen. Trying to track down problem as to what it may be. Belt is correct, pulleys fittings are greased, no play in the tensioners or pulleys. Does the clutch need to be lubricated. Should i just purchase another clutch?

@@speedyReedyEnterprise it is hard to diagnose without seeing the unit in person. You could possibly look up how to diagnose a pto clutch online. I've personally never had one go bad on me yet.

I was able to remove mine with the 10 mm bit

Make sure your hydro belt is in good shape and tight. It should be a little difficult to get on the idler with the idler pushed all the way to the stop position. New belt solved my severe shaking. Thanks again for the video and comments.

Yea somethings are tough to do ie clutch ect but I've had good luck doing all other routine maintenance so far

From the limited testing I've seen I think sticking with the normal pennzoil ULTRA platinum is our best bet
