Grunt Style // 9-11 20th Anniversary (Directors Cut)

Grunt Style came to us for the 20th Anniversary of 9/11 and wanted us to write, produce, and film a piece for them to show the unity of the country after the horrible day in 2001.
In 9 more days it’ll be a year since I started training…knowing I will never actually get to Mammoth; as a 100% disabled combat veteran I have nothing but time so, figured why not. I start every morning rucking a minimum of 6.22 miles as soon as the twins are off to school. Every other day I’ll switch things up by rucking a one mile loop around the neighborhood, stopping at home and lift weights until I max out my reps. Always the minimum of 6.22 miles though. On my pure rucking days I always try to keep it over 10-12 miles, my PB is currently 31.2 miles in one 24 hour period. Never actually get to the range since I can’t physically operate a car so - dry fire, dry fire and more dry fire. Yeah I don’t have any friends. 😂
Training for mammoth 2 2025
Element is a pretty sweet complex.
I've been waiting for this vid. Mammoth seems like a blast
Do you guys have a podcast?
I would’ve at least lied and said that I was benching like 300 😂
On another note, where do I get the shirt in the intro?
Grabbed it off etsy...dang IG ad got me... haha
I was really looking forward to this vid, and was really lost as to why there was no video after Mammoth. I've rolled ankles, or gotten sick just before a match. Hope you feel better. Would still like to see coverage, even if not as a competitor, but I've been thinking about doing one of the bigger matches like this, and want to see what I'm getting myself into.
Sorry for the delay! We did the best we could with the gopro but it was hard with no support. We made all the mammoth episodes for the prior years that you can watch as well. Its on their page.
Hope to get a spot for mammoth '25. Would be cool to see y'all there
What happened? I saw a Day 1 drop on the leaderboard.
We are doing Mammoth 2 in a few weeks. Byrons caught the flu the day before.
What range is this?! Thanks!
Element training complex in Holt FL.
Nick is a legit instructor in this stuff, that Javi dude is outta his league.
They need to put dials on this thing. It won't work out with a multi barrel set
All I see is $$$$. 😂 it will be a great learning experience. Just finish.
Good luck, I just heard about Mammoth a few months ago, talking to one of my buddies who just got done with an Ironman last month. I need to get the physical training down, he needs to get his shooting down. At some point, it becomes about the experience more than winning. No matter what, look forward to seeing the show.
Bring flip flops! Booting up to go pee after you get back to camp sucks especially once the boots cool off and are still sweaty or wet
100% no way to prepare for stuff Andrews will throw at you. That’s all part of the fun. Sounds like you’re getting the best advice from the best guys. Good luck, maybe I’ll see you down there, but I better not see you on the hardball.😂
Excited to see ya out there buddy!
If you guys are running it, who’s the media team this year?
I was hanging with Byron at the last Patriot Games. I'm signed up for Mammoth in April, and I'm doing the same thing in terms of gear. Tweaking and obsessing over things. I was talking Byron's ear off asking him questions 😂 Two things: 1) the handwarmer is in stock in gray and coyote brown at the moment. If you can't get ahold of the gray, I have it that you can borrow if it comes to that 2) there's another range in SWFL that goes out to 1300 yards. SWFL Range And Gun Club. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys compete. I'm documenting my journey on my channel as well. I went out for a ruck this morning to practice with the recon bino harness and my osprey backpack, the combined weight for the ruck was 27lbs. I went with my dog so I wasn't interested in pace this time around, I just wanted to test out how the gear felt. Thanks for the video, Andrew
Nice shirt :)
Risky advice on the leveling to scope only, if your scope center is not directly over barrel center, when adjusting for elevation you would also have to adjust horizontal which is not impossible but much harder to account for. Great vid though! That impact 4000 looks awesome
Looking good there dudes. Lots of butt touching but I wouldn’t expect anything less from Byron.
How often do you need to calibrate the impact?
They said every time you change locations drastically. But it stays pretty dang close when you take it off and remount it
Team name "The Lost Boys".
Just a sprinkle 😂.
He's slow and he knows it.
I've competed wirh Byron in the Patriot Games. Such a good dude. Looking forward to following you guys on the road to mammoth. Hopefully that's me sitting by the computer waiting to register for the next event.
Team Sucker..😂😂😂
Yes!! Can’t wait to see you guys rucking with us 😁😁😁
You would! hahah
