Solutions made of aluminium profiles are of a higher load capacity, require more precise design and assembly technique usually left to specialised companies. They require specific equipment that can guarantee very tight tolerances. As their assembly is not so basic, they are rarely modified for new requirements and do not allow for continuous improvement. Their use is ideal for making fixtures and jigs for automated systems, transport and robots. Structures made of steel tubes and metal brackets are easier to design and assemble, can be modified and improved according to new requirements or reconfiguration aiming at continuous improvement. Steel tube structures can support a maximum load of approximately 1000 kg due to the 28 mm tube diameter and 1 and 2 mm thickness, depending on the specific strength requirements of the project. The metal brackets and fixtures also contribute to the strength of the structure.
