Welcome to my automotive haven where passion meets craftsmanship!
My channel will try to specializes in custom restomod builds, and the current spotlight is on a Triumph TR6 undergoing a remarkable transformation. I'm going to try to integrate the mechanicals and electronics from a BMW 135 into the TR6. With a lot of luck and a bunch of dodgy skill, the body will undergo some pretty extensive customization.
I hope you will be inspired to embark on your own DIY adventures in the world of car restoration. Subscribe now for a front-row seat to the evolution of timeless classics.

Переглядів 124Місяць тому
I get a bunch of stuff done on the driver side, including welding in the seatbelt mounting and all the small bits on the striker upright and the inner sill. Take a look at www.hornetic.com It is a product I've had on the market for a while and just haven't promoted it much. Pick one up for your car or project and support this channel.
TR6 Restomod - Fitting the drive rside sill to the car - Episode 11
Переглядів 1292 місяці тому
This episode is a big one for making all the parts we cut out last episode from the driver side sill and door striker base. Now that the floor edge has been fixed we can start making all the fiddly bits and fitting them to the car with the new inner and outer sills. Take a look at www.hornetic.com It is a product I've had on the market for a while now and just haven't promoted much.
TR6 Restomod - Removing Sills, cutting away rot & fixing the floor - Episode 10
Переглядів 923 місяці тому
This episode is longer to make up for the sad short one last time. There was a lot of work to get done on the driver side. I tear out the inner and out sills, cut away a bunch of the rot at the back of the driver door frame and start repairs on the floor pans. If you are new here, I'm taking a Triumph TR6, rebuilding the body as a resto mod and swapping the drivetrain from a 2009 BMW 135 into a...
TR6 Restomod - Mounting frame and body to rotisserie, fixing dodgy body hammers - Episode 9
Переглядів 894 місяці тому
This is a shorter episode as I'm removing the doors, bracing them and mounting the body and frame to the rotisserie. I also shape and polish my cheap body hammer set to get ready for all the body work I am going to be doing in upcoming episodes.
Body and frame go together - Triumph TR6 +Episode BMW 135 = TR135 Restomod - Episode 8

I'm taking a 1968 Triumph TR6 and swapping the drivetrain from a 2009 BMW 135i into a custom chassis to create a TR135 Restomod. This episode I get the body mounted temporality to the frame. I get some custom parts attached to the frame so everything is ready for mounting to the rotisserie.

I'm taking a 1968 Triumph TR6 and swapping the drivetrain from a 2009 BMW 135i into a custom chassis to create a TR135 Restomod. This episode I'm pulling apart the whole thing, building a rotisserie and getting the frame mounted to it.

Chopping up the good piece made me laugh
I was so mad at myself for that. 😂
Did you test fit the fenders to the sill to make sure the fenders landed where they need to?
I did at one point, and they will fit really nice. I was worried about the step down in the sill where it falls behind the fender, but both the front and back are within 'standard British vehicle tolerance' 😆
@ excellent. Keep on truck’n!
More great work and video. I am really enjoying this channel. Hope the subs grow you deserve it
Thank you Chris! Subs are slow, but I hope with all the videos I plan on having, the community will grow! All you first subscribers are the real heroes supporting me through the early days. 🫶
Well Howard that sill ain't ever going to fall off. Nice work. Steve.
@@Steviegtr52 Thanks Steve. There's a few other parts I wish is bought replacement panels for now that I've done the sill... Oh well, I'll just have to make them from scratch.
Well Howard I thought you had given up on the project, when it popped up again. Great stuff. Keep going. Steve.
I'm getting the episodes out every 3-4 weeks. Stay tuned for more great, if not long, content. 😀
Cool!
When I first started learning welding on my first project car, the ‘65 tbird, I considered grinding penance for shitty welds. It’s all part of the learning process :)
I'm expecting to get a lot of proactive for sure. 😀
My old friends at Eureka Steel Welding would be proud of you, Howard. Best people. Worst summer job.
Good idea with the sills
Nice work
Thank you
Looking forward to the wide body episodes
Part of me is too... and another part of me is dreading it. lol. I just hope everything I do between now and then gives me the skills I need to do a decent job of it.
Swapping the firewall and floor seems like a good plan
Right now it does 😂 We'll see how smart I am when I get there.
Looks great
This is a great build. Glad I found this channel. Binge watching to catch up
@@chrisrawle2967 thanks!
Quite the undertaking Howard! I'm not much of a car guy but this is definitely something I'll be following along. Thoughts and prayers! 🤣
Thank you. The further I get into the project, the more I realize I'm going to need those. 😭
The oldest one the red but I feel making any car into a low rider is such a waste
I saw that same car too lol
Ok now that is dope beautiful paint job👍
Thanks for visiting us! 🙌
Interesting and ambitious project. I’ll be following along! Cheers, Tush
I'd take the Ford and paint it.
Chevy all the way 👌🔥👍
I like the panther pink cuda.........js lol
That's actually an original paint job from what I'm told. 😮
Just found your channel and subscribed. It feels as if the gussets you're planning for the end of the floor rail will need to be pretty substantial. Interesting direction, though!
Thanks Charlie. Yeh, I was thinking the same thing, but I'm also planning on a roll cage that will help take some of the pressure off them. Not sure if I'll have to plate the sides of the rails and the gussets as well. Thanks for subscribing!
I just found this channel. Great stuff.
Thank you so much! 🙏
Absolutely gorgeous.

That is a stick color from factory. All original car.😮

Love the colours
Aventador in batman colour
Murcielago
The 2nd choice
I think the owner said 750whp. That's as far as this motor will go.
$1.1M Diablo. Gated 6 speed, convertible.
Hi Howard. Looking good. Certainly going to be stronger than the origonal chassis. Steve.
For sure as long as my welding is good. I'm thinking that I'll weld the chassis to the body instead of having it removeable. Once I do all the custom stuff to it, I think it only makes sense to create a unibody.
100% agree no wonder this was put on my feed.
Shotgun!
Wow. Some work you have ahead Howard. I hope it all comes together in the end. Steve.
Thanks Steve! I can't wait to get into the garage when the weather warms up in 6 weeks or so. Going to make a lot of progressb this summer.
Phew, some hard work there Howard. I'm doing the TVR refurb but nothing like the work you have in front of you. Well done so far. Have you any plans for the front suspension mounts. The ones you have on at the moment will bend inward with pressure. But i am sure you have that in hand. Volume perfect. Steve.
Thanks Steve! Yeh, those front mounts are only so I can properly locate the top of the struts. I'll be building a proper set at a later date.
Hi Howard. Great video. Coming on nicely. Now without being critical may i suggest a couple of things that may get you more viewers etc. 1st is your title. It makes no mention of a Triumph or model other than TR135 which means nothing to someone searching on the tube or google. Triumph TR5 with BMW retrofit engine. or something similar. Then in your description box make sure you mention the same paragraph as your title, somewhere near the begining of it. I was given this info some time ago & it brought more viewers to my channel. 2nd. Your voice is very quiet & then the music is double volume. So continually turning vol up & down. Family in next room etc. Keep up the good work. Looks like it's going to be a brilliant car once done. Will keep a look out for the next video. Steve.
Thank you for the tips Steve! Yeh, I'm still learning the video editing part. I think I got it sorted for next episode. I will definitely change up the title and description. Thank you for that experience! And thanks for watching.
