"One More Time" was produced and presented by The Henderson Project and was performed on the 24th and 25th of March 2017 at the iconic Capitol Theatre in Singapore.
Put together by concert director, and one of Singapore's most established DJs, Aldrin Quek, audiences danced to a non-stop, 90 minute* DJ set, performed completely live by an aurally luscious 50 piece orchestra, led by accomplished conductor, music director, and orchestrator, Indra Ismail.
Also featuring some of Singapore's finest vocalists and guest musicians including the late, great, tabla maestro, M.S. Maniam, the concert brought the audience on a musical journey charting 25 years of dance (house) music history, first brought to Singapore by Lincoln Cheng, cultural visionary, founder and former owner of legendary nightclub Zouk** at Jiak Kim Street in 1991.
The tracklist spanned two and a half decades of different sub-genres and eras of house music, and also represented the different rooms of the iconic club that put a little street in Singapore on the world map.
"One More Time" was a first of its kind concert in Singapore and possibly Asia - marrying these two vastly different music disciplines and genres - where the full impact of an acoustic orchestra together with a modern day rhythm section recreated the energetic vibe of a modern club dance floor.
The end result was a joyous tribute, a moving celebration, and a dance party like no other!
