Interesting contrast to the other recording by the Wantage Choir of this piece. Cutting out the Vivets makes the anthem more concise and suitable for concert performance. Excellent rendition.

This is a hard working and intelligent church choir. Much credit to everyone for an excellent rendition of these three splendid motets. What a pity more people are not showing enthusiasm for these excellent videos from Wantage parish church.

I knew a Paul Edwards who sang countertenor in Peterborough Cathedral choir when I was a supernumerary tenor in that choir. I wonder if this composer is the same Paul. He had a sister called Liz, a primary school teacher who sang in the St Peter's Singers that I also sang in.
Yes, I believe that is the same chap. I think he went to sing at St George's, Windsor after that. Fab composer.
Superb. Well done. A large choir from a town with a population of 13,106 (2018 figure) and just one secondary school. Populations seven or eight times as large and more schools can't attract children and young people into church choirs, yet alone thirty singers in all. Fantastic.
Fantastic singing. What a joy to see children and young people in the choir alongside those wonderful altos, tenors and basses. Excellent diction and commitment. Well done everyone.
Assuming the organist on here is John Ridgway, then I remember him as one of the first students on the first music degree course at Dartington. I was a second year student on the secondary teaching course. Hey, this choir is impressive, a great team of singers. It's so nice to see young voices included. If an amateur choir can sing the repertoire you do, then so can any church choir when they are well led and enthusiastic. Well done everyone.
