Miss Julie Coker, who was one of the first female broadcaster in Nigeria was the presenter of the day.     As an Afro American I can say I’ve seen this city with mine own eyes. For 9 months I was there forming and pouring sidewalk at the university and cart path at the course. It was a turning point in my life. Met a lot of great people there.

      Compared to real northern/Hausa Sunnis, Yoruba Muslims (outside of Kwara State anyway) might as well be Rastafarians. I don’t know who told you Osundina was deeply Islamic.

    These is not my ethnic group...We Yorubas, even from antiquity do not look, dress and dance like it was depicted here...A few scenes could be Yoruba, but most are other parts of ethnicity within Nigeria.

      @@jeffreyd700 “Zazzau” or “Zaria”. People showed in this video are Hausas and igbos. Yoruba part of Nigeria always the sophisticated ones from inception using traditional medicine and spiritual power to cub any sickness. And also, very few with no numbers has leprosy and you can never find them in the city or in the village. They are always quarantined in Yoruba tradition. A popular adage of says “won kii ni ki omode ma dete, toba ti le da inu igbo gbe” the igbo is the seclusion where you find those with leprosy. Another observation is the rhythmic movement of the dancers in time and space; essentially to pass a certain message through dance says it all that, those are not Yorubas. Even though some of the clip is Yoruba. The Ibadan being the capital of Yoruba land is Yoruba and the Lagos is also Yoruba land where different people from African come for trade just like Norway in the early period.
