I was brought up in The Cape, and always with airguns and my dad and oupa's firearms. Now 64 and living in the UK, I've got back into airgunning through necessity to control ferral pigeons and rats visiting my wildbird garden feeders. I got a SMK PR900W a year ago. Now looking to upgrade, I saw the blue laminate version of the Effecto PX-5 Pro, which I like very much. Even the wife likes the look of the rifle, although she doesn't like shooting the vermin, but her favourite colour is blue. So, after seeing your shooting demo, it looks like I'll be going for the PX5. Baie dankie, Steve, East Yorkshire, England.

Distance?

Has the fixed 100 yard parallax caused you any troubles for 25-75 meter distances? Really liking everything else on this scope, but that lack of a PA almost worries me for PCP rifle use.

My cheapo Artimes will better that at any speed I shoot at 50m from 21grn to 30grn slug. Jsb, H&N and inferno. Maybe not with the pellets. The benefit of a nice pollished rifled barrel.

It looks like a good value PCP. If you can mod the rifle with a plenum and so to get those 21grn to 900fps or more for verminting in the Cape windy summer, I'm all in.
