I carry at 4 o’clock and being a lefty I don’t have discomfort in my vehicles. It’s nice carrying appendix as it conceals a little better, but doesn’t feel as comfortable to me.

I will NOT appendix carry. Its unsafe and anyone saying otherwise is just no being honest. That is my opinion, take it or leave it.

As others have mentioned leaning back can help. But, also pushing out your pelvis as you lean back is even better. This orients the muzzle away from your body. Watching you stand up straight and point the muzzle at your groin to avoid pinching scared me. If anything catches the trigger when you're reholstering like that could send a round through your femoral artery. If that happens it's very unlikely you'd be able to get a tourniquet high enough to stop the bleeding. You want to avoid flagging yourself at all costs. But, flagging yourself at 3 or 5 o'clock you most likely shoot through fatty tissue. It would still suck, but you most likely will live. Keep flagging your groin like that, and there us a good chance you don't survive. Lean back, push out the pelvis, and look the gun into the holster. Making sure nothing can catch the trigger. Appendix can be a great option for ccw. But, I feel it takes more practice to make it safe. Good luck, and keep practicing your 2A rights!

Bro we have the exact same body type and the same issue so I cot this clip and carry holsters that covers the whole back of the gun and it works great for me as long as I lean back slightly to clear my belly when I draw. It also naturally makes the pistol point away from your body. I draw train but I very slowly and deliberately reholster. My logic being if I just neutralized a bad guy then I have all the time in the world. Well at least until the police arrive because I definitely don't want to be mistaken for a threat. As far as my belly goes it doesn't bother me personally. I walk my dog and jog a little ever day, box, hike, lift, etc. Thing is I love drinking beer and eating tacos with my beautiful wife and son. They love me and God loves me and that's all that should matter to anyone. Not likes on social media that's all nonsense. Anyways I liked and subbed because I really like your presentation and candor.

Kudos for keeping it real. I like holsters with full sweat guard. I almost always wear an undershirt between me and the gun. Rock on!

***WILL SCRATCH YOUR FINISH OFF YOUR GUN*** Bought a Raw Dog holster IWB Hybrid for my Hellcat and was super excited to get one from this company. Once I got it I put my gun into which by the ways was literally brand new and only held a couple times. IT was a tight fit and when I pulled my gun from the holster it was SCRATCHED UP and the finish on the slide had been removed in some areas. I advised the company via email with pictures and there solution was a refund. Well that refund didn't fix my scratch's. To make matters worse you would think they would have wanted this holster back so they could see what went wrong with there quality control but they didn't care. I ended up comparing this to cheaper mass produced holsters I have for other guns and it actually didn't compare. The Kydex does not have a smooth and polished finish and appears it was stretched to far on the leather so the gun doesn't properly fit into it and feel like it should. overall really disappointed as I thought I was supporting a small American owned company that cared.

At our house, when I was 12, I was in charge of home security. All the guns ( probably around 14 firearms of various sizes & caliber), bows & arrows, hunting knives, etc. were in my bedroom. I went to the Army Reserve shooting range most Saturdays to teach Boy Scouts gun safety & marksmanship ( And yes, I was a very good shot -still am 60 years later). My dad ( a WWII Vet) encouraged me to learn to shoot. And Boy Scouts had a marksmanship merit badge. Most boys by age 12 knew how to shoot in our part of the country.. My dad had little interest in firearms & was a poor shot anyway, so I handled the firearms. I even had a semiautomatic military rifle. Got free ammo from Army Reserve. You should get a gun that your teenagers can physically handle and teach them to use it. Home invasions have become more common these days & you can't be there all the time. Also, it is your job to teach your kids right from wrong. If they have been taught that along with proper gun handling, you shouldn't have to worry about them with a gun. Take them to the range and get them interested in shooting. They will learn a new sport & incorporate proper firearms etiquette. You can use the range time for bonding (or whatever they call parent/child interactions these days). Everybody wins. Of course you can leave them in the dark about guns. Their curiosity will get the best of them, they can probably learn from some gang banger at school anyway.

I have a brand new Springfield XDs mod2 chambered in 45 ACP with everything intact from the factory. I have put zero rounds through it since purchase. It was legally purchased but admittedly an impulse buy that I have no use for since I have many other firearms that I actually prefer. I am currently located in South Florida (Ft. Lauderdale area). Again, keep in mind that you'll be receiving what is essentially a brand new weapon. No rounds through it, no scratches or blemishes and still in its factory box with all manuals and warranty card. I own four Defender Pro IWB holsters. I love them... and they're about half the price of similar hybrid holsters. The customer service, cannot be better. I'm a bigger guy- a senior. Translation: gut, and no ass. Finding a holster that fits, and is comfortable, isn't easy. I have a fairly expensive Vedder IWB that digs into me.. I never wear it. The Raw Dogs are my go-to EDC holsters.

Work out and eat healthier.....problem solved. You can also wear a thin back support till you slim that pudge down. Itll help a lot.

If you put your holster clip over the belt it will lift the holster up and resolve that issue and you can also wear an under shirt...

I just got mine. It is a very comfortable holster. I will be keeping mine, but I am disappointed in the clip. It does not work with a thick leather belt. First IWB holster I have bought that doesn't. My previous holster is a concealment express that works perfectly. I was looking for a holster that was a little more comfortable. I notice you are wearing a thinner belt and I have one like that and it works - barely. With a thick leather belt, the clip does not completely go over the belt.

You're the only video I've seen that's explained the fact that Springfield doesnt provide the paddle holster and 13 round mag. Thank you sir I was confused I've been to a couple stores and haven't found any older models only the newer bare bones set. Shame.

You can’t fire the weapon either if you don’t Press the grip safety . I would practice cause when your adrenaline is pumping and you grab your firearm in a hurry you might not get the grip safety pressed all the way in.

Dude, before doing a vid empty your mags. You can load them after . I don’t know what it is with people making gun vids with the magazines loaded.

Get a Vedder IWB Holster. They are super comfortable and have a high sweat guard that helps with that. I live in Central Florida and wear a A shirt under my tee shirt. Works great. Worth a try. And one other thing...get the claw option.

How is this for sweat pants wear? Will this fit all Springfield XD 9.40.45 subcompact and compact ? Also I bought a holster for my Taurus pt111 for some reason it’s extremely hard to draw.

Im In south Florida too. What about when you don't wear a jacket? I hardly wear my jacket only to conferences, meetings, etc but usual day is just shirt and tie.

I show my kids my firearms and even let them shoot it at the range. It keeps the curiosity down and the mystery of what’s in the box away. Then they understand the safety aspect of the firearms and that they can be dangerous when not handled properly. You should always train them in firearm safety, the earlier the better.

Saying the pt111 is not reliable is ignorant, and biased.

I have this one as my daily carry and a 380 at all times. Love them.
