The Soviet Boom Stick | War Thunder - Object 292 Gameplay
This things dart round is great and all but using the HE is way funnier
The Object 292 was the among one of the most ambitious attempts during the final days of the Soviet Union to create a next-generation tank cannon testbed. The Kirov Plant and Mobile Vehicle Engineering Institute planned to introduce a high-calibre smoothbore cannon to enable Soviet MBTs to be able to disable equivalent NATO MBTs at the longest possible distance. This meant choosing a calibre of 152 mm instead of the conventional 125 mm or slightly larger 130 mm, which were still common calibres in Warsaw-Pact countries, and mounting it onto a hybrid between the T-80BV and T-80U's turret. Due to a severe lack of funding as the Soviet Union was struggling with financial debt, although the cannon proved effective during field tests, the prototype was eventually shelved. However, experiences learned during the program would be further iterated on for future MBT prototypes.
The Object 292 was introduced during Update "Air Superiority" as a reward for the 2024 Call of the Dragon event. While it may look like a T-80U without the ERA packages, the lack of an anti-aircraft machine gun and the significantly larger cannon gives it away quite easily. It's not the best protected tank at its tier, but the sheer penetration and damage from the monstrous 152 mm cannon more than makes up for any potential shortcomings by sending the source of the damage back to the hangar in a single shot; however, make sure to make every shot count, as a missed/ineffective shot will most likely be the death sentence of the Object 292.

@@sirhayden5516 what speed bruh, 2s38 has higher hp/t and top speed lmao, and firerate doesn’t really matter since 2s38 kills most things in 1-2 shots because of the APHE, also 2s38 has much faster turret rotation speed and gun elevation speed since it’s an spaa (irl)

Just unlocked this today working on the other 2 to get the cv90120 I know it’s not as armoured as the mbts but 600mm pen 🥵
600mm pen is nothing special, what makes it good is the optics and the 5s autoloader
The 292 to me is the epitome of a pure strength build. If it takes any well-placed AP shot, it dies. It can be penetrated anywhere by BGM-71C or better. It has a reload almost long enough for congress to agree to look into doing something. If it encounters a hill beyond a minor slope, lol; lmao even. But dear god if you hit center-mass with it...

I was really enjoying all these swedish ifvs until a few months ago when they shadow nerfed them. They use to be able to pen T-series tanks in LFP, and now they can't. Smh

for some reason the ammo capacity of this thing is halved compare to other cv9040,even lvkv9040c for some reason can carry full 240 ammo but the strf9040c can only carry 1 2 0 which is... *interesting*

the lvkv9040c is the same thing as the strf9040c just with a radar and a slight early worse apfsds shell if you happened to have it and want to play something like the strf9040c

Sorry thats a problem with the editing software I use, it is 1080p60 but its just I cant set the bit rate any higher when I render. I'll try to improve it though.
