Переглядів 1 тис.4 роки тому
It's a wonderful and yummy summer dessert. Here's a simple and easy way to make chewy and delicious mochi! Ingredients: - 6 tbsp red bean paste - 6 tbsp ice cream of choice - 3/4 cup (100g) glutinous rice flour - 2 tbsp (20g) sugar - 150 mL water Shaping the filling: 1. Roll 2 tbsp of red bean paste into balls. 2. Shape roughly 2 tbsp of ice cream into balls using a heated scoop. 3. Wrap ice cr...
So people do not use silken tofu as,it will not work!! Use this method instead!!
Thank you for sharing ☺️
Also my dough was very sticky and difficult to work with at first so I just added more flour and it was good. Very forgiving recipe. Just add enough flour so you can work with the dough better if you are having trouble with sticky dough.
Great recipe! I made it twice and love it. Very easy and tastes delicious. Mochi donuts at the bakery are very expensive but now I can have them at home for cheaper. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe!
Not good recipe
How many cups ? How many grams pls ?
This turned into a batter for me. No where near a dough
Hi there! I was wondering what if you dont have a microwave? would i cook it in the stove?
I done
Hey how long do I put it on the microwave for?
30 seconds!
thank you for the recipe! if you made it yourself, that's very impressive. do you suppose I could substitute glutinous rice flour for tapioca starch?
Hello, I have a question about the first step. I used 1/4 cup of sweet rice flour (glutinous rice flour) and 3 table spoon (45ml) and when I mix it, it becomes a hard dough instead of liquidy flour. am I doing something wrong?
Can u substitute powdered sugar for normal susgr
is it baking soda or baking powder
It’s baking powder
I love the Mochi Donuts! Now I have the chance to try it at home.
After frying, will the donut turn try and hard after a few hours left in normal room temperature?
Thank you for sharing. I like that you don't add tofu and still taste so good 😋
OMG ITS SO YUMMY 🤤
Hello, can I bake them too?
Doesn’t the dough need to proof? Like can we use right after finish kneading?
no need to proof! use it right after :)
Just tried this and just like many people said, texture taste was soooo great! However, some of mine started to appear like they were “standing up” during the frying process. Any idea what may have caused that?
I'm glad you love the taste! Although I'm not completely sure, the "standing up" might be because of the temperature of your oil! It might've been a little too hot. Thank you for watching :)
Hi how long to u microwave for? Thanks 💕
Hello. Thank you for the recipe. I haven’t tried it yet but i soon will. Before i do though, what would happen if i just use normal rice flour instead of glutinous rice powder? Will the texture change greatly?
Unfortunately, rice flour won't work too well. The texture comes from the glutinous rice flour! Thanks for watching :)
@@calmcuisine9510 i see Thank you very much for telling me!
Hi everyone! Thanks so much for watching :) I’m getting a lot of questions about sticky dough. If your dough is too soft, feel free to add more glutinous rice flour! Don’t be afraid, it won’t ruin the texture of your donuts. Thank you, have a great day!
Can you substitute different types of milk instead of whole milk?
❤
My dough turns out too soft thou I followed the recipe....
Hi! Thanks so much for watching! I recommend just adding more rice flour until you can work with it :)
Hi can i make this dough in noon and fry later? P
Yes of course! Make sure you keep the dough covered with plastic wrap so it doesn’t dry out! Happy baking <3 thanks for watching!
What to do without microwave? 😭 Pls reply
Used a steamer
Yes! A steamer would work!
@@calmcuisine9510 steam for how long? please reply.thanks.
Is it baking powder or baking soda? The description is different from the subtitles..
Sorry for that mistake! Use baking powder :) Thanks for watching <3
How do you get the texture of your dough when rolling them Into balls so smooth?
I recommend adding more flour if its not getting as smooth as you’d like :) Thanks so much for watching
i made these and they taste so good!! the texture is really nice too. they’re better than the ones i bought from a bakery :D i gave some to my friends and they said it was really yummy
Is it baking soda or baking powder? In the recipe it's baking powder, but in the subtitles it's baking soda. Which one?
Sorry about that mistake! Use baking powder :) Thank you for watching <3
Could this be baked as well?
I recommend sticking to frying, I haven’t tried baking them :) Thanks for watching :)
Im craving Mochi Donuts. Thanks for your recipe.
Sticky rice flour or rice flour? Here in Malaysia we have 2 types of rice flour.
I believe it is sticky rice flour. Thanks for watching!
Can you make it with regular wheat flour?
unfortunately, this cannot be made with regular wheat flour. the rice flour is what gives the donuts its chew and stretch!
Calm Cuisine ok, thank you!
Can i double boiler the milk and flour? Instead of microwaving it?
Yes! Thank you for watching <3
Easiest recipe I’ve found and the texture of these donuts are amazing! Only thing is, after kneading for 5 min, my dough was extremely sticky, going to try and kneed for less time next time.
I'm so glad you liked them! Next time you can try adding more rice flour if you find the texture too hard to work with :)
Calm Cuisine if I don’t use all the dough, can it be stored in the fridge or freezer to use next time?
@@chealayzee Yes! Just make sure it thaws completely :)
Calm Cuisine good to know! Was scared the mochi would get hard, but the dough made too many donuts for me
Thank you for the recipe! Glad to see one doesn’t add tofu
I was looking for the same too! The one with tofu sweats and melts the toppings.
Mochi donuts are so cute !
Looks yummy, feels calm. 😃👍👍
thanks!
