The voice of Betty Boop was Mae Questal.
That’s correct!
How do you put the record in?
There is an end gate the you open on the right, and slide the record onto the mandrel. Bottom end first, so the title side is facing out.
The real-life Betty Boop, IMO.
She did look like her.
Found the Wikipedia audio source
Cool!
The person next to you might as well be from another planet. Fool.
My Grandpa was born 4/28/1928. He passed 4/29/2024.
Sorry to hear about that.
I will always be a fan of Fletcher Henderson and eternally will be a fan of him too now and Fletcher Henderson was born 127 years ago today on Saturday December 18, 1897 in Cuthbert, Georgia.
I’m glad you are a fan.
Look up Esther Jones some time.
And l thought Marilyn was the original artist !!! To think this was only 10 years after the first world war !!!!!
No she was not! Yup!
Helen Kane , Betty Boop She sued Max Flescher that drawed the cartoon of her likeness She did the voice over of Betty Boop but lost in court, Helen my mother's name. You’re welcome!
WOW! Amazing find. Very lovely song ;)
Thank you !
Has to be sherrie moons best performance miming to this song. Love it.
I have this 78 record. They are quite rare.
Well, considering I found another copy on eBay. They can’t be that rare.
I was curious who got this one? I won three records from his collection. One of them being Hen Party Blues by Dixie Land Jug Blower
This one was a Buy It Now. So, I bought it outright instead of an auction. As some of the bids were more money, than I was willing to spend.
SHE is who Betty Boop was based off of, not some African kid that we have no audio or video recordings of.
yes
Uma pena eu não ter vivido em 1928, mas posso sentir como deveria ser esta linda geração de tantos conhecimentos e cpm músicas puras. Linda voz!!
Yes it was!
Uma voz linda e melindrosa, cheia de amor e doçura.
I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Magnífica cantora com sua linda voz. Época que tudo parecia ser muito melhor do que hoje. Beleza e pureza viviam juntas. Saudoso 1928. MARAVILHOSA MÚSICA!!
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Maravilhosa a música. Magnifica a garotinha cantando com vigor. Época de ouro inesquecível.
Yeah, but she was not a little girl, but a grown woman.
But such a talented performer
@simonparry5958 yes!
@@simonparry5958 yes she was!
In love the flip side of this as well, “I’d Do Anything For You”.
this has to be the inspiration for betty boop, she literally sounds and looks like her. She only took the "boop-boopty boo boop" from baby ester who was 9.
Just not the actual voice of Betty Boop. That was Mae Questal.
@ its insane because i had to look up who the va was because betty sounds justttt like helen.
@dani.1170 yes she does. In fact Helen tried to and unsuccessfully sue Flisher Studios.
