HOW TO: Converting an image into SVG file
Переглядів 115 тис.4 роки тому
Hello everyone! Today we are turning an image into an SVG file using these few simple steps! The best part is that you do not have to have Photoshop, Adobe or any other program to do this. I am using Oracal 651 vinyl and the tile I put the image on is 4” x 8” I decided not to film the actual weeding of the image just because it required a lot of patience and light since the details are not cut ...

Explosion Box Tutorial | How To Make Explosion Box (Step-by-Step)
Just learning this to replace letters on a machine. I wanted to make sure I understand correctly. To get the name with the Teckwrap, you need a cricut machine to make the text cut? I'm going to be using it for very small text.
Love it.
Also can you upload your encanto birthday banner please
Hiii, love the tutorial I just want to try this out . But what paper did you actually use the links just go to the website ?
Thank you! I use the smoothie bazill cardstock from Joann. I don’t have the exact links for it
Where can I find that design?
Circuit Design Space
Cricut*
whats the program?
I’m no expert but I’m sure you’re putting the water slide decals the wrong way round: the decal slides off the backing paper onto the object. You’re losing all the image resolution. If the decal had words in it, you’d see it was right reading on the backing paper.
Yes! It took a lot of trial and error with this paper but I finally got it down 😊
Thnx so much, I spent an hour trying to convert, several dead ends until I found your video which showed me how to do it in a few seconds.
How did you get it into design space
I just saved the image to my desktop and uploaded it directly to design space
@@craftingwithsoul8624 I’m not sure how to do that! Thanks
When you have saved the image to your desktop open design space and create a new project. Then on the left hand side select the “upload” option and the select upload image. From there it’ll give you the option to browse your computer files or just drag the image to the box 😊
@@craftingwithsoul8624 thank you very much 😊
was it just normal cardboard materials being used?
Hi! Yes it was!
Why wouldn’t you use the cricut to cut the water slide paper?
I found it to be a little more challenging to remove the backing when you cut too close to the ink. Just my personal preference
I just started making stickers, how do you get it to cut through like that? Is the pressure setting higher? Or did you cut it more than once? Thank you!!!!
That’s great!! I always just use more pressure 😊 I believe I put this one on cardstock
To be clear, you printed it in a normal printer?
Yes I did!
You are very succinct and clear. You ate a great teacher
Thank you!
Can I ask you how to do this with a white dog? thanks?
M Ed.
When you download the images what do you search on google?
I will search the specific character if that’s what I need or the movie title. I always click on something close to what I need and look at the pictures below it if I can’t find something right away 😊
What kind of paper do I use to print stickers
I use the cricut sticker paper
What sticker paper do you use?
Cricut sticker paper 😊
I can’t find the square for his plaid shirt
Loved the flowers, it would be nice to see the completed project at the end, also would a quilling tool help with the flowers perhaps?
Yes! The quilling tool has been a life saver since
Why does it end so abruptly?
😅 my poor editing/video skills! The weeding process was horrible so I decided to leave that part out which resulted in me having no clue what to do but to …end the video lol! Thank you for watching!
😂😂😂 that little dog looks more like a Rottweiler on the glass tile
Hello I've tired this and mine doesn't work still I've literally tried every possible convertor and the websites you use and it still gives me a blank image 😫
Love this project!
Thank you!
Hello ! I’m trying to figure out how to cut out the holes to pull the string through the garland I’m doing, did you cut out the holes with the cricut or hole punch ? Thank you love your vids!
Hi! I did it just by adding small circles then using the “slice” function so that it cuts out the hole as well. It would definitely be easier to use a hole punch but I didn’t have one lol!
Thankyou a billion.
Can you reuse the transfer tape?
Yes you can! 😊 I reuse mine until it isn’t sticky anymore
I’m new to cricut, so I know these will be used as stickers but they were made of out of card stock that is not sticky on the back, are you applying these with clear tape over the top? I guess I’m kind of confused because these “stickers” aren’t sticky on the back, I’m new to all this so I hope that makes sense!
Hi! I actually used Cricut Sticker Paper for these so they are sticky 😊 it is thicker than others I’ve used though so it almost feels like a cardstock
Thank you very much. you really help me.
very informative
Thank you for watching!
What am I doing wrong? When I do print and cut it cuts out everything in the circle of the sticker too. Thanks
Did you flatten the entire image? That happened to me at first as well but as you layer you may have to flatten so that it does not recognize some as just a cut
@@craftingwithsoul8624 yeah, so not sure what I am doing
Hi. How did you make so many squares for the woody shirt? I am doing it along with the video and it goes from 9 squares to 16 squares.
I believe in that part I sliced the square image I was using just because I wanted to go with “bigger” squares 😊
@@almad.7156 Thank you.
Hello, The link you provided for the foam tape no longer works. Would you recommend something similar from amazon? Or can you tell my the size used? Thank you
If you search “craft foam by Outus” on Amazon some should come up! I also use the foam tape from Dollar Tree but it’s not cut in squares like the others 😊
anyone know the id for the banner
Hi! So sorry for the late response, the image ID is M3C070
Did you your vinyl lift off the canvas? Or is it still intact?
Thank you for the info ✊🏿😆. Definitely helped.
I cannot find this banner on my cricut😩
Search for #M45C8B
@@craftingwithsoul8624 thank you
Thank you so much for this video! Such simple steps.
Hi, loved this vid! I was able to follow along and am about to make my first of these but, I wanted to know what vinyl you used for this?
Thank you!! I always use permanent vinyl. My go to brand is Oracal, their permanent is called 651
Hello! This turned out beautiful! I'd like to do this for my kid but I'm very new to cricut and literally all things cricut. Can you help me understand what the purpose of all the layering in the design space was if we just had to go back and glue it and layer it physically? Would it be possible to get the same result and not have to do all the layering and things in the design space?
Hi!! Sorry for the delayed response but it’s just to have a visual of what I’m working on. When you’re designing the banner you obviously wanna have all of your pieces sorted out so that when you go to cut everything out you know all of your pieces are there 😊
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge in such an easy manor. I am new to the Cricut World and I have watched so many videos, but your's is by far the easiest to follow. Thank you.
Thank you!! 😊
can you do a video where you apply the epoxy & how long it takes to dry?
Yes I can! Typically it does take about 24 hrs for the cup to fully cure
the image from the vinyl is so much better like HD
is your printer laser or inkjet?
I’m pretty sure it’s an inkjet 😊
So how big is the cake topper
I like to keep them around 5-6 inches tall depending on the theme and details going into it 😊
@@craftingwithsoul8624 thank you
Hi, did you just cut off the legs after you printed it?
Hi! I wanna say the actual picture was already cropped when I did it
Thanks!~
Just from this video I learned So much stuff I had no idea about I feel so silly, never knew you can unlock the image to change the height and never knew about the slice tool!! You have changed my life thank you!
🥰 thank you so much for watching! I’m so happy you found it helpful
Does not work all the Time for me..
