We are Nick & Kristi. I've lived in Florida for the past 37 years and Kristi is a born and raised Floridian. As kids growing up in the 80s we spent most of our time outdoors hiking. biking, skiing...and we’ve continued that mindset as adults. We love to explore Florida on land hiking+biking or on the water boating + kayaking. I'm a lawyer during the week, but the weekends are for venturing outdoors and exploring everything Florida and beyond has to offer.
A Day in Cañon City and the Royal Gorge
It was our last full day in Colorado and we headed to Cañon City for two great activities.
Royal Gorge Railroad - www.royalgorgeroute.com/
The train ride last about 1hr 50min and travels along the Arkansas River. Several options to ride including 1st class, coach... I suggest paying for Coach because for 90% of the train ride everyone went out to the open air cars. 1st class come with a meal, but you can still order from a menu in coach. We skipped the food and grabbed lunch afterward. The train cost was $89 per adult / $84 per child (ages 2-12) Children under 2 years old may ride free as long as they don’t require a seat. Prices above include your journey. Dining, beverages are gratuity are additional.
Next we headed to the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park (royalgorgebridge.com/). Entry into the park is $29 for adults and $24 for children (3-11). We walked across the bridge then the girls took the gondola (free with park entrance) across the gorge while Dan and I took the zip line. The zip line costs $50 per person. If you want a video you are required to use their cameras and the video download is an additional $30. I realy wanted to use my 360 camera but was told "NO". The zip line was a lot of fun and not as scary as I expected. Several other activities on location some with additional costs.

Great Sand Dunes National Park & More

On day three in Southern Colorado we had a long day of adventure. 265 miles of total driving as we headed to the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Beautiful dunes amidst towering mountains. Next we drove to Zapata Falls which is just outside the entrance to the Sand Dunes NP. Zapata Falls is a half mile hike to a breath taking 25 foot water fall. The water was nice and cool which was perfect afte...
Visiting Bishop Castle in Colorado
Переглядів 1084 місяці тому
Day two of our trip to Colorado we went hiking in the morning and then ended up at this extraordinary castle. The creation of a Jim Bishop over several decades starting in 1969, Bishops Castle is a fun and sometimes dicey exploration. If you ever find yourself in southern Colorado this is a fun and free must to activity.
5 Hours in Colorado Springs. Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods
Переглядів 2794 місяці тому
On our first trip ever to Colorado, we met up with our friends from Kansas for a long weekend in Southern Colorado. In this video we spent our first 5 hours in Colorado Springs visiting two iconic places. Pikes Peak is one of Colorado's 14ers rising into the sky at 14,115 feet above sea level. It is a 19 miles road trip to the top. Take your time as there is plenty to see on the way up, and the...
Exploring the St Johns River by Boat
Переглядів 2 тис.7 місяців тому
In this video we put the boat in the waters of the St. Johns River in Astor Florida and travel 35 miles south to Lake Monroe in Sanford Florida. We put in at 6:30 in the morning and the water was calm and beautiful. After getting to Lake Monroe we headed back North with a stop at Swamp House in Debary Florida for lunch. We have loved the Tahoe T18. At one point we took advantage of the calm wat...

Its 25 mph on the river in the channel ... Or don't you give a damn about manatees and other wildlife that can't get out of your way?!!! Slow that boat down, captain. Sheesh.
😅😅
Awesome!!!! My wife and I got that same boat last November itching to get out on the water again, Still to cold in New York... UGH...
Definitely a benefit of living in Florida, we boat year around. Thanks for watching.
Good river cruise 😊
You should make it a habit to unplug your trailer lights. When in and out of the water.
that is a osprey
Does the cabin have heat?
Central Heat and Air
This is a great video, looks like a lot of fun
Thanks for watching. I wish i could get out on the boat more often.
@@nkfloridaadventures Don't we all!
Great trip. We need to do it.
It was an incredible trip. We packed a lot into a long weekend. If you haven’t already, checking out the previous 3 videos from the trip. Thanks for watching.
@@nkfloridaadventures I will check them out
What a great time! This whole trip was absolutely amazing and blessed to experience it with you guys!
You should have speed up the video while I was “running down the hill”! 😂
It sure seemed like you were moving faster in real life. 😃
Absolutely amazing and terrifying at the same time!
Great videography Nick! So fun to be a part of it. Btw, nice bust on the Pikes Peak donut theory!
Very nice drone video. I did notice the old nuclear power plant at the 2:26 min time frame.
What a great video!
Good job!
Well, this is different. 😮
Pronounced wah- kull-ah. Means mysterious waters. There is a 1 mile difference because one redneck didn't compare with the other.😂
Cool video!
That is where we are headed next week when we leave Greenville. Thanks for the goo info.
Why can't these idiots do a bit of research that's not a kite it's an osprey
Great video! I wanted to attempt this trip. One question, where did you launch from? Thanks and happy boating!
Thanks for watching. I launched from the Astor Fl boat ramp located at 55400 Butler St Astor Florida. That’s about a 20 mile boat ride to Salt Springs.
@@nkfloridaadventures awesome thanks!!!!
Thanks for the video! As another poster said, there aren't many videos of these T18's. I started with an 06 Tahoe Q7i back in 09 when I moved to FL. The old girl finally had too much and the salt was rusting away the motor mounts so we sold it and bought a Scarab jet boat. That was a lot of fun but it's like driving a race car with stiff suspension...fun but not relaxing for us 50 year olds. LOL! I sold that and bought a tritoon in hopes that my daughter and her family were moving back to the area (or close enough for more visits) but the Air Force decided they should go to Montana instead. Since it's most often just me and my wife, I have been looking at downsizing and found the T18's. If you ever have time and an inclination, I would love a walk through video and maybe what you like and don't like about it. Thanks again and just subscribed! --Brent
I agree, there are not many videos on the T18. I’ll have to put one together in the next month.
And thank you for watching.
This place is on my bucket list amazing beautiful!
It is worth the visit. Be sure to book the River cruise. Very affordable.
At 2:26 notice the nuclear power plant off in the distance for a couple miles up that road there's a strange looking sirens and then you start thinking about it and put two and two together
I believe it's county road 40 not State road 40 I was there seven or eight years ago It was just a road that turned to dirt and there was the gulf.. beautiful
Thanks for watching and i think you are correct, it is CR40.
We really like going to Cedar Key...and enjoy Steamers. Great resturaunt ..thanks for the vid. God bless ya'll
Thanks for watching. Streamers is one of our favorites in cedar key. Sitting outside, enjoying a meal and looking over the water.
@@nkfloridaadventures You are welcome. Amen to that. We love our seafood too. It's really quaint area. Flew in there one time with my instructor....and my, that runway looks short....and it is...lol
😂
Thank you-I wish I’d gone to Tallulah Falls State Park years ago (health) but I thoroughly enjoyed your photography. Ga. is my State-love it!
It was a beautiful park. A lot of stairs but still a nice hike. We really enjoyed north Georgia. Thanks for watching.
😊
So cool. 🐬
What a great day❤
Oh my gosh, that is beautiful. ❤
Perfect place to undress and relax
I have a T-16 and love it. Ive been all over the St John's River
Love the videos. Live in Orlando and will be buying the t18 this month. Can barely find any videos about it!
Thanks for watching. We have owned our T18 for over two years and loved every bit of it.
I have a bunch of videos on my T-16. It's basically the same as a T-18, just 1 1/2 feet shorter.
@@Seadoo-Scotty haha that’s great. I actually had some of your videos saved when I was doing my initial research! I subscribed to both of y’all! Maybe I can post some videos when I get up and running. I’d love to connect on places you all have found!
@@nkfloridaadventuresgreat to hear! It’s a first boat for us so I’ve been nervous lol
@@matthewgarland6793 the T18 is my first boat as well. I like it because it’s easy to tow, dock, operate and store.
I live a few miles from there. With the river, tides and wind it can be a pretty amusing time at the ramp. I never use it because people are idiots.
That was why i went out there, to check out the ramp to possibly put in there. The parking area was a turn off and I’ve heard stories of the shallow waters. Thanks for watching.
love that place
Lots of horse people in Ocala
Me too ❤
Nice boating location
Theres no woman in Ocala at all its the loneliest place ever i hate it
Army hasn't had UH-1s for ten years
Agreed, the Huey has been out of service for a long time, but i still consider them to be “Army” helicopters.
Silver Glen springs?
Yes. One of my favorite places to go boating.
The military is just a money making scam. Anyone who thinks the government and military are good people are delusional.
It Wuh-kuh-luh
Be prepared for ultra boredom, drunks, harley morons, senile idiots, and cults of every kind.
I prefer Hallandale beach Florida beautiful city good beaches and restaurants and growing businesses and communities, and good nightlife.❤🇺🇸
Best place! ❤
That's a osprey 😅
