    Carreras dice che è stato il film di Mario Lanza il Grande Caruso a farlo decidere di cantare l'opera.Gli fa onore ricordare e omaggiare Mario che è stato più sfortunato di lui ma certo non meno talentuoso!

    I have the 94 concert on DVD, and let me tell you, these three are not Three Tenors, but Three Stooges. They just LOVE fooling around. That part where Luciano takes the baton from Zubin and passes it to Jose and then makes it passed to Placido made me roll on the floor laughing. They are truly great friends. And the Three GREAT Tenors.

    What a gem! I always knew our Jose was intelligent, and here's the proof of it. "Make love with the words." WOW. I don't know how Jose manages to express himself so well in English. He is truly an intelligent man. In one word, Maestro. :)

      Yes, so intelligent!! :) When I see pictures of his later years, they remind me of a college professor with an authority. Extremely intelligent. Evenly during his younger days. He always looked very sharp and intelligent. And his looks weren't / aren't kidding. He IS VERY intelligent.

    I apologise. I was referring to the way people here...stupid people...moaned about how Clark was running a Marxist dictatorship. Sadly, sir, politcal corruption, human greed and aggression makes a society where we have fewer controls on us impossible. Our masters like us in living in the 'pretend democracies' we have now, where we elect our dictators every three or four years and call ourselves 'free people'. You see, I am not in dispute with you 100% on this. Nuff said.

    I don't know about Perigo. I don't live in New Zealand. I live in Australia. Anyone who believes in a state running our lives is as far as I am concerned a believer in at least one form of slavery. And don't you dare say I don't comprehend how the people from Soviet nations feel. I've been involved in getting people out of North Korea, I know exactly how the most tyrannical states work, does that mean I accept the evil of our states by sayings "its worse over there" no.

  • @ProjectFlashlight612
    @ProjectFlashlight612 15 років тому

    Slavery to the state?! In this silly little banana republic? You're joking. Do you have any comprehension of true slavery? People used to call Clark's government Communist and Marxist and oppressive - tell the people of the former Soviet Union slave states that, and watch them cry for poor police state NZ. Perigo's ranting on Radio Live about Islamofascists running TV3, and his attitude to Maori: 'We won, you lost, get over it' seems to suggest his 'freedom' is only for white righties.

  • @samsamsamm2003
    @samsamsamm2003 15 років тому

    Yeah we're the fascists. We don't rob anyone and tell them what to do with the money they have rightfully earned. We don't try to tell people how to live their lives, we let them make their own decisions. All we want is to be free to live our own lives. Its fascists like you who keep those rights from us. Admit it you believe in slavery to the state don't you.

  • @ProjectFlashlight612

    Thank goodness the Libertarianz find it hard to hold meetings in bus shelters without there being empty seats. Arrogant, selfish, racist fascists like them are as bad as the looney left.

    These are excerpts from a concert at the Royal Albert Hall, London, on March 15, 1994. The programme was called With a song in my heart - A tribute to Mario Lanza. It was commercially available on video, but has never been released on DVD as far as I know.

    The really funny part is that Carreras sings "My Way" with excellent English unlike Sinatra who murders the dipthongs. Later in life Sinatra became a source of parody for his dipthongs eg. - "I did it my wayeeeeeeee" or "Strangers in the nieeeeeeeegth". Sinatra was of course a vocal genius and Carerras is certainly right to revere him. But when he got older his mechanism could no longer support his intentions.
