Autism is fake lil bro

This is something that I deeply relate to, sometimes when someone is talking to me I really want to listen and engage with them, but my brain just automatically switches to either a 6 season long story that I have made in my head, my future, or transformers (i dont know why I love it so much I just do and get called autistic for it ;-;). And I hate it so much because I need to pretty much force myself to listen and it makes me feel like an asshole because there is this person I care about talking about something that he really enjoys, or saying something that is so personal to him, and it looks like I am trying to stay awake for the conversation, when in reality Im just trying really hard to focus.

Can relate, i'm not sure if i've felt true emotional connection with someone in my lifetime, even with best friends and relatives. And when i realize this emotional absence, i tend to think that i'm simply a bad person (and, perhaps, try to force my brain into simulating the connection, no matter how stupid it sounds). Now i can hope i'm wrong.

Hey JMS! I’m looking for support for a situstion which happened with a girl who was autistic who I was playing video games with. I did not tell her I was autistic but she knows now I told her a story about my little brother, who I’ll call John who burps alot. John has a friend I’ll call Paul who thinks it’s funny that he burps, but a girl who I’ll call Sarah who thinks him burping is annoying, and confronts my little brother. Paul says to Sarah ”Handikappad” which is the Swedish word for handicapped whenever he sees her as a revenge. I thought the story was funny and brought it up to the girl, but she said she was handicapped and that Paul was an ableist. She later unfriended me. I tried telling her I was sorry and I also had autism and had problems understanding when a joke crosses the line, but she refuses to answer even when she knows. What are your thoughts on this?

I think you miss the point too. The issue is not about morality. It's bodily autonomy. A fetus is essentially a parasite depending on how you feel and think about it. It is feeding off your body. It is genuinely taxing and a health risk no matter what. If you do not want it for ANY reason, you should have a right to termination within a reasonable medically determined time frame of fetal development. This would also be helped by further sexual education and access to family planning and contraceptives, to entirely prevent pregnancy in the future so people do not HAVE to go through such a traumatic experience, because it truly is a largely traumatic experience for many. Abortion is not easy or an easy choice to make, but it is necessary sometimes, and humans should have the right to make those necessary choices for their body. It needs to exist and be accessible or more people will die than even these fertilized eggs. There's also the fact that anti-abortion is very much intertwined with women being tied down with children to men. It's tied to white supremacy and historical misogyny. Especially when it's impossible to live even with double income in some places. I think there is no difference between a fertilized egg or fetus and a normal sperm or eggs. Is it morally wrong to remove your ovaries? Is it morally wrong to remove your balls? Why is it so morally different when Plan-B is necessary? When it's barely mutated into anything resembling human? The "baby" you talk about in this video isn't even a baby yet. You got months and months to go bro. Ifs are not worth it. There is no destiny and no possibility because it doesn't even exist yet. I think we should all watch Alien and think deeply about how we would feel about that.

Thanks for that, I'm 31, diabetic since i'm 2, and only got that recently thanks to my addictologist. I mixed my identity with my disability to the point I only saw myself as a bunch of meat to manage. But I only understood recently your identity is not "who you are" but "what you feel", what you love doing, what makes you feel whole, one, a subject. I'm also diabetic, but far from being just that. It's hard cause you have to discover yourself and manage the fear of being you. But it's better than spending your life waiting for the end.

Also, the varying starting point of the adult age (like 18 or 21 and I think there are some places where it's 20(?) or even something else (I can't remember)) are just arbitrary numbers (they seem arbitrary to me at least, sorry I could've looked it up before I write this comment here, anyways...), if we think about that the brain isn't fully developed until age 25, so why don't they just stop diagnosing autism below age 25 (as opposed to age 18)? But of course that still doesn't make sense, because the autistic-brain-for-life forms in the womb as you said, so yeah, unfortunatelly it's messed up.

I keep finding myself watching your videos enjoying and agreeing with most of it... then a sudden emotion filled curveball of a statement comes out of nowhere and i cant help but think "where tf did that come from"... like using "gay" in such a toxic way, and your negative view of people that use the term "Masking" and how they should just "Not think about it", which I understand in a way since I really struggle when people apply a new word to myself that i dont want any relation to, and from my perspective it sounds like some experiences were had with people that have used the word in ways that really annoyed you. From my personal experience as someone with ASD I dont go spouting that word to everyone as a way to explain myself and i dont think its a part of my personality either, its just something my body does instinctually... so its EXTREMELY difficult for me to control, and if i do notice im masking then actively try to unmask my body will literally start panicking and eventually enter fight or flight mode. People have lots of different ways and reasons to mask, some are a lot more difficult to just "switch off"... like trauma/anxiety/stress based masking thats been baked into you from childhood... Even if someone puts in work to process that, its not something that most people can easily "switch off" by just "Not thinking about it".

As a woman and my pov, I remember when i was a bit younger i remember falling for "fuck boys" and emotionally unavailable boys and i guess they fell for me for my empathy. being in 2 abrasive relationships with emotionally unavailable guys had me busting my ass off to make their life better while i got nothing in return (not that i expected anything) and it was a 100% / 0% effort type of situation. I found my boyfriend thru such a 1 in a million way, him being one of those "overlooked" people he's the best man i have ever met and im taking this man to the ring shop. My point is, for the ladies please dont hesitate to break off very unfulfilling toxic relationships, even tho it may hurt the other person it's still your life that you're living.

Very wise advice. I double down on it, you should seek a traditional marriage where the father is also involved and you ask him permission from the very beginning. (obviously if she does not play games...) Women who seek random relationships, save some who are just ignorant but do have values, are not worth it, unless you are also in their vibe... But really, if you are ready to commit to a stable relationship, well, you also are for marriage because marriage is precisely about stability and a legal framework. There is no real way to be messing around for 10 days before marrying, there really isn't. If you are honestly a good person, she also is, you share values and goals, you should be able to mix easily in almost no time, and get married and it will work. If you don't mix, you can stay 2 years doing f0rnication and whatnot, then you get married and divorce comes because you didn't really know the person... you just used her s3xually or for the "fun" stuff (going to the cinema, whatever entertainment) and when situations which require patience come then you realize you do not mix well... Again, my advice based on scripture and common sense, take it or leave it.

I'd think the main reason for their focus on "breeding" (at least in the two people mentioned) is because they both hold traditional/conservative beliefs which value some form of "purity" (sexual abstinence). This leads them to view sex as something which is only done for the express purpose of procreation rather than some form of recreation/bonding. When it comes to having a bunch of kids or having kids with "fertile women," it likely stems from beliefs like Social Darwinism, where them having more kids would be an attempt to "compete" with others by having more children and spreading their genes. This would be because they think that what they're doing is the natural order of things. Is it? I wouldn't know :P
