With all these excessive protective measures against the coronavirus, I wonder if the bunches of flowers and the medals for the winners were properly disinfected. It is not the first time the Russians swept the ladies podium. They did the same at the 2019 Grand Prix Final in Torino. At that meeting, from the six contenders, four were Russians, introducing multiple triple axels and quadruple jumps in their programs. The British commentators describe this spectacle as "mind blowing" and "sensational". I'm not sure how I must feel watching fifteen and sixteen year old girls executing in a trance state, jumps that only men can do. Undoubtedly, what we see, is the culmination of a long-term meticulous plan, with one aim. The absolute domination of Russia in the ladies Figure Skating. And domination with the word absolute in front, means that from now on, in every international meeting, including the separate Grand Prix events, if Russians participate, it will be extremely difficult if not impossible for another Country to take gold. How they did it? Is it a combination of an inexhaustible much larger than in other Countries pool of kids from where more skilful and experienced coaches and trainers can find and train the ones with the genes, the special talent and will to succeed in international level? And what else motivates them? Patriotism-all for the glory of mother Russia? Large financial gains for them and their families? Maybe yes. Are the above enough to explain the phenomenon? Or something more, and sinister, is hiding in the depths of this story. Who knows. Historically, such kind of extreme developments in the field of sports, and especially of young women's sports are usually coming from Countries with authoritarian, disciplinarian political systems and societies. During the 70's and 80's the projection in the world of Socialism-Communism as the ideal governing system, was propagandised in part through the superiority in athletics and sports. Today, this kind of superiority serves the extreme nationalist pride. About the issue of the absence of the Russian flag and anthem from this medal ceremony and probably others, this is not because a number, small or larger of Russian athletes were caught cheating with prohibited drugs. I suggest to every ignorant to spent some time and read carefully(among others), the Wikipedia reference with the title "Doping in Russia". If fifty percent of what is described in this reference is true and correct, any rational person concludes that doping in Russian athletes is a systemic practice, organised and orchestrated in many occasions from the Russian State. And how WADA responded to this realisation? As we read: "In 2019 Russia was banned from all major sporting events for four years". "In 2020 this ban was reduced to two years by the Chart of Arbitration for Sports". "For now, competitors from Russia are allowed to compete in international meetings under a neutral flag" (and without the Russian national anthem in medal ceremonies). Do they really believe that the Russians are distraught because of this kind of punishment? They are laughing, the way the trio of Russian medalists lough behind the masks in this idiotic ceremony. Beware, The new era in women's Figure Skating is here, and is Russian. Adopt, if you can. Or die in oblivion.

M-am uitat la solul ei de anul trecut de la europene unde era încă junioară. E același sol cu liniile acrobatice schimbate. Pot spune cu regret, că execuția de anul acesta e mult sub cea de anul trecut. Chiar dacă gradul de dificultate e mai ridicat, nota primită în finala de la sol de anul acesta nu a meritat osteneala. Dublul întins a fost întins doar în primul zbor și cu lipsa ținutei, iar în zborul al doilea aproape a fost grupat cu pas în afara spațiului de concurs. A doua linie a fost bună, a treia linie cu un ușor hop la aterizare, iar a patra linie cu dublu echer aterizarea a fost atât de joasă, încât a fost o semiratare. Nota primită a fost mult peste nivelul exercițiului, dar de fapt, nici nu mai contează dacă nu era în lupta pentru medalii. Îi urez Mariei multă seriozitate și putere de muncă eficientă și eficace.
