Hello, glad you want to tour Vietnam, I hope you can make it! I will add link in the description with the map of bicycle shops in Hanoi. The professional and legit ones are around the West Lake - Lâm Velo Bikeshop, RideBikes.cc and Ride Plus. The people working there were kind to me and I think they will happily help you to get some second hand bicycle. As for the price example I found Trek FX 1 (pic here 00:34) used but almost as new for 8,000,000VND as I remember in the RideBikes.cc. I bought Triban RC 500 for 8,500,000 VND "Xe đạp thể thao cũ" which is not business but young guy selling bicycles on his own hand. If you will have few days after finishing the trip and you are in the big city I think you should be able to sell your bicycle. So even if you buy a more expensive bike, if you manage to sell it you will reallize you didn't spend that much. Only the maintanance cost and the drop in the value of bicycle if any.

@@자전거인생 That shop is just short distance south east from the Ride Plus which is on the east side of West Lake. If you take a look on the google map list from the description you should find it. Though you will propably not get the same bicycle from that guy as he already sold it to me and then I sold it in Ho Chi Minh. Feel free to ask me any question!
