The annual Metrocard Classic/Boschi Pope Skate Off quad event was held on Saturday, August 26th 2023 at the Sgt. William Dougherty Playground Skatepark in Brooklyn, NY. The podium consisted of Alli Tong in 1st, Angel Lopez in 2nd, and Elise Koch in 3rd. Music by The Mystery Lights "Flowers in My Hair, Demons in My Head" and Terror Squad "Lean Back".

New skater and graphic designer here and I just have to say I’m obsessed!!! With these tricks, the editing, the song choice… all of it!!!!
I grew up on a skating rink. Every year several times i look for a pair of size 10 Reidell 595 boots, satellite plates, and Hugger wheels online used, and before the internet, looked in classifieds. They were $500 in 1979 and they're still $500 today. Can't justify spending that kind of money but i may do it anyway.

This is rad. Just ordered the first Fantom mag issue. Seeing the most talented people together cheering each other on and progressing/ inventing the direction skating can go in is the best. This reminds me of some time periods in skateboarding where the things that were possible changed over a couple quick years. Really cool to get to watch that here.
