Granadilla is one of my favorite fruits and in Peru is one of the first fruits introduced in a baby's diet due to the high content of vitamins. I’m in Thailand and just had a very ripe sugar apple, and the variety her has about 10 or so seeds per fruit. I think it’s probably the best fruit I’ve ever had. It had this granulated sugar right under the skin (after peeling). Simply out of this world.

Here in Belize we call them kinep, guaya or guayum. We have two varieties so Im not sure if guaya refers to one variety while guayum refers to the other. The one in this video looks to be what we call Mexican kinep. It has a thick crunchy skin and a mild tart flavor. On the other hand local kinep has a thin soft soft skin with bright orange pulp. It tends to be a lot sweeter and has a stronger flavor.

Gosh ee have them in Nigeria and they are so good. Ours are white or pink or mixed pink and white. Very juicy.
