Opals & Clovers is a channel for creatives, dreamers, and those seeking to relax and be inspired. My name is Dedra. I'm a beadwork artist, multimedia artist, poet, plant lover, mother and wife, herbal information specialist, and compounding pharmacist. My life is soooo busy, but I intentionally slow it down by committing time to my artwork and interests.

Fall Traditions | Mushroom Hunt and Pumpkin Party
The coolness of fall and the dampness left from recent rains left our greenbelt bursting with wild mushrooms. To celebrate fall, we had a little pumpkin party and mushroom hunt, venturing into the greenbelt behind our little stone house to see what we could find.
Orange Jack-o-lantern mushrooms, stinkhorns, false parasols and more were spotted on this hunt until the rain chased us away.
Moving indoors, our Burmese cats joined us as we carved into the pumpkins, and taking out the seed and gooey goodness which we would bake and enjoy.
