PitchUp! 2024 - No gear, all the ideas?
A UK farming collective is offering land, resources and expertise to sustainable businesses.
What started as a Dragon's Den-style callout for farm-based business ideas is expanding across the UK to welcome like-minded enterprises at every stage of their journey.
Pitch Up! is a group of organic and regenerative farmers from Scotland to Cornwall, who’ve got together to invite both existing businesses and start-ups with big ambitions to pitch up to them with their ideas this November.

Russian banya's are a great Russian tradition. It is basically a type of sauna, but sometimes involves the use of hitting others with branches and jumping into ice cold water or even snow....

Medair also funded after devastating Sidre 2007 affected in Bangladesh coastal belt area through Save the Children USA and CARE Int. Bangladesh, I was a humanitarian manager in that time. I also was involved with humanitarians activities after devastating cyclone in April 19 91, Chittagong hiltracks and Coxs bazar coastal belt area and flood affected area during 1988 and 1998. Humanitarians activities really challenging and exciting. After observed your video I again get ready to me for this type of volunteers jobs if I get opportunity. In the world I always saluted the humanitarians staffs for their great efforts and sincere activities. Siraj
This was very helpful, I want to go into Disaster Aid or something similar! But I admit the dead bodies is um, do Disaster people have to dig up dead bodies?
It's very rewarding and always challenging. But what you do, totally depends on the role you do and for which organisation. Yes some people do have to retrieve bodies in some situations, but most don't.
+Stuart Oates may I ask if I have to go to a specific college for this?
+Stuart Oates and thank you, that is what I keep hearing more or less. Ppl say that about a lot of things, but esp any type of aid work, I just can't find much info on it. Even when speaking to a Corps worker himself, he kept saying "well it depends.." I need to schedule another meeting with him! (:
It shouldn't be "hitting others with branches". We use bunch of branches with LEAVES. Branches ideally shouldn't touch body. We swing them to move warm air to body. After body is heated, we cool it using cold water or snow (jumping into snow is also a big fun), however, I prefer icy water. I usually make 15 iterations of heating-cooling in 2hrs. I feel myself better after these procedures. Unfortunately, too many people don't know what for banya is. And many saunas in Russia are just brothels (if I hear sauna I think about prostitution). However, I'm not against brothels)
