While looking for Mtn Goats in Nez Perce Valley, I found this huge Bighorn. It was the same 4 star Ram I saw in the Black Bighorn Sheep mission. I could not take the chance it would become a 5 star to complete this mission.

Chasing goats around the mountains at Nez Perce Valley was not easy. And the wind was not in my favor. But some goats got stuck on a steep hill and I finished the mission. I then got the new mission to go to the mailbox at the lodge. What could it be?

Put on your hiking shoes, this Nez Perce Valley mission has you walking up the moutains. You can leave from either camp site and follow a walking trail till you find several ladders to the 3 roses.

Since this is a Nez Perce Valley mission, I thought it would be a 4 or 5 star troublesome sheep. I almost hesitated too long looking to shoot. But like all the hunting game stories lately, it’s about relationships and conservation. Not trophy animal hunting!

What a lucky day at Nez Perce Valley. I found this male melanistic mule deer. The all black fur looks great. I didn't expect this fur color in the game. I’m looking forward to finding more rare animals.

Trying to track deer at Nez Perce Valley is hard. But thanks to hunter sense, I found this 5 star whitetail deer. But I hurried my shot and almost missed.

Well it's back to 1 and 2 star mature deer at Nez Perce Valley. I almost had the 3rd deer shot, but the rock got in the way. Hopefully, someday I’ll see more 4 and 5 star animals.

After killing so many 1 and 2 star mature deer for herd mangement, I finally decided to try a new area in Nez Perce Valley. And Green Acres is the place to be! The 1st herd of mule deer I saw had a 4 and a 5 star. Hope this luck continues!

While scouting in Nez Perce Valley, I'm seeing the importance of choosing the right game difficulty. I could not play without hunter sense. Hunting would be too slow for me. Hats off to those who play without it! I picked Explorer. So, choose wisely and remember you can change it!

While doing this Nez Perce Valley mission, I had a problem. Why can’t we track to find animals? We see tracks, but they’re far apart. And the bear tracks ran in both directions. Also, ethical hunters need to track survived animals. Hunter sound sense is nice, but tracking would help the game move faster. I also found out, be careful approaching downed animals!

I was looking for a 5 star moose at Nez Perce Valley, when I spotted huge gray 1 star ‘Mature’. Why not label maxed level animals 'Old'? Keeping their ‘Old’ maxed size and NOT starting them over until they are killed. It would help the game play better. Doesn’t that make Hunter Sense?
