Those intense birdfights. Peak entertainment 😄. Found your channel when i was trying to find a good way to introduce a friend into playing yugioh. Found yugi-kaiba format, and after some searching your video about it (the best video about it). At that moment i knew that these types of videos are meant for me. Really nice detailed breakdowns about the formats the core cards the jank stuff and the why stuff. Especially love that in the duels you always go through every step that was made and give reasoning to them and explain if something was misplayed or could have been played better. That is reason alone to watch all of them, you can learn a lot by just watching those videos alone. And now some quotes are burned in to my mind forever, just to mention a few notable ones: "Kinda unfortunate" "Hindsight is 20/20" "Nothing we could really do here" All in all an amazing channel, wish you all the best with it and hope more likeminded people will find you and propel the channel into its deserved place among the "big" yugioh channels (not that channel size has to do anything with quality, as its proven here a small channel can be top quality).

Kuriboh might be a hidden gem in this format. Your opponent can give you 5 fresh cards before pushing for damage with Fiber Jar. And the Lily payments add up quick if Kuriboh blocks the damage. It's also searchable with the Sanwitch gang

GX's first half is entirely made of reverse powercreep. The formats are less defined by the few new meta cards and more by banlist changes. It takes until Airblade for it to rise again and PTDN for it to start matching the DM formats. I think these formats are popular because diverse and interesting metagames tend to grow from the ashes of dead broken bullshit. Once the oppresive decks die a ton of cards/strategies that were forced to stay out can come in and comptete.

Pot of avarice is missing. I’d run 2 with 3 troopers milling. Dasher isn’t needed, book isn’t needed, lady isn’t needed.

Will GOAT world championship lists and finals be featured at Format Library at some point? I was wondering why GB don't have Gyzarus and then figured if it had been released at that point all these decks would've been GB instead of Perfect Cycle. It's crazy how well it did in this iteration, where basically half its plays were summoning 2100 beatstick, but it was cool to watch (and of course triggerable monster and s/t pop were great)

Goe Goe is a reference to Konami's Goemon video game series, alongside a few other ninja monsters. FOTB is my favorite GX set because it does exactly what I thinks sets should do: introduce a variety of cards that get players interested in brewing. The power level in these late GX sets(excluding PTDN) is decent but I am afraid the strategies still tend to fail to playable, this time not because of better DM era strategies but because of busted new cards.

Fun first duels of Trooper! Solid format despite all its jank

This deck feels weird to look at after going through the recent OTK formats and in comparison to contemporary hyper-consistent strategies. The win condition for this deck doesn't jump out that much. Yes, Card Trooper + Machine Duplication is a huge play, but you're only playing 1 Machine Duplication. Not only that, but the Trooper + Duplication play isn't even as likely to OTK as a big Overload Fusion or a Cyber-Stein play. The milling isn't super crazy, either, since you don't have many cards here that you really want in the GY (unlike the lists running Malicious and Disk Commander). It feels more like a pile of good cards that are strong in a vacuum rather than a list with specific combos or gameplans in mind. On that note, now that you have some games under your belt with it, is there anything you'd change from this decklist? Also, at 30:10 Rainbow Ruins would *not* get destroyed here since Heavy Storm destroys all the backrow at the same time. Thus, it tries to destroy Rainbow Ruins while there's Crystal Beasts in the spell/trap zones to protect Rainbow Ruins.

what do you think is the zexal era format, If someone doesnt like Hat with soul charge and the name-giving H A T parts running around? meadowlands, fire-water, vegas or even sth. else? me and my friendsgroup are still on the look out, potentially modifiying the format aswell or gentlemans agreements like no mermail in meadow or at least less explosive variants. Do you have any experience in these formats or can give a feedback, given you're into the retro stuff. Is there a direction from the community (aside to hat:)? Thank you very much in advance!!

Archfiend General is obviously nice for Archfiends in general, but what's particularly neat about it is that it enables Deck Devastation Virus for the archetype. General and Terrorking are both normal summons (or sets!) with enough attack for the virus. Archlord Zerato and Darklord Zerato both became a little more consistent with the searchers for their respective field spells, for those that want to try out that jank. Also, as an observation, none of these field spell searchers have more than 2100 attack. Those that are under 2100 gain enough attack from their field spell to reach 2100. I'm guessing that Konami viewed Cyber Dragon as a benchmark here, wanting the searchers to trade with it.

For Diabolos it says "can't be tributed by a card effect" but eradicator tributes for cost not an effect. I think because of this you would be able to tribute it for the viruses. I think what it protects against would be something like soul exchange.

I was upset that Stein didn't do anything and then there was an opportunity to finally do something in the funniest way possible, but it was missed... Capital G did a video on Vampire Lord. Basically it was really good in the OCG. They didn't have Warrior Lady at the time it was good, and I don't remember very well, but might not have had Jinzo or Monarchs

Finally a good Six Samurai decklist! It's good to see someone playing Six Samurai the *correct* way. I'm sick and tired of people playing awful bricks like Gateway of the Six and Six Samurai United. I've even seen people playing Legendary Six Samurai - Kageki! It only has 200 ATK points! What were they thinking?!

Shoot, was not aware I was being featured in these videos until BlazeFenix brought it up to me. Hopefully I've showcased some good technical play as well as the unique gameplans and wincons of the decks I've piloted.

Thank you for covering Pleiades Payout, it was my idea to start having some more competitively oriented tournaments since the hat community has always been very casual, i feel it's necessary to develop the format more I didn't do too well, i technically finished 6th place but i went 1-2 with 2 noshow wins, i played HAT cause i think in a tier 1 room it's better than CAT (and i made a video discussing that) but i'm pretty cursed whenever i play an artifact traptrix deck to do worse than if i played a random rogue artifact deck (like ninja artifact and jurrac artifact which i recently topped with, and with wind-up artifact which i'm currently 3-0 with, hope that works out cause wind-ups have 0 tops as of now)

Regarding the mouliglacia bp skip, opponent forgot about it and entered bp upon atk declaration I told them about it so my monster count didn't change and opp proceeded to EP.

Also, your volume is good but you might slow down on the delivery by just a little bit. It'll make it easier for people to comprehend and understand.

You might enjoy this just because. But me and my homie started a format called little critters where the highest atk and or def monsters could only be 1200. We play only up to mrd. All it did was allow the full booster box to get on the table instead of the "good cards". And im biased since hitotsu me giant is my favorite yugioh monster and making him relevant was sweeet lol. Our rule was allowing the fusion deck to break the rule since all the materials were awful and inside our ruleset mostly. Its definitely funny and a few games have ended with a basic insect with laser armor swinging for game. Or a kuriboh ending it. Definitely a fun way to play.
