Переглядів 10 тис.7 років тому
Hi, Welcome to my Kengo: Master of Bushido Speedrun. This was played on a PS2 Emulator RULES: Time Start - When you pick your first Dojo. Time End - When you beat your Dojo Master with the last Hit at the (Last Battle) (Win the Imperial Tournament and beat your Dojo Master to win your own Dojo and roll the Credits.) INFOS ABOUT THE RUN: I created this Speedrun and figured out a Strategy to run ...
2024 anyone ?
Right with you fam
Good, especially when I finally made sense of this game, even uploaded something about said findings
Who was the guy with a lightning strike I can’t find footage anywhere
this actually looks more clunky than bushido blade
i trained so hard in this game only to find out years later that you could just stunlock everyone. sigh.
Try it against a player seeing them attacks a mile away
Forgot to add why You can just hold block and roll away or to the side of the attack as soon as it winds up, there is a lot that many don't know about it, there is even a tech to tech them thrusts such as netherworld My channel has a guide covering the fighting in-depth
Were you just spamming X and O? Its pretty cool
yep
@@John.M you know i had a feeling that would work i just never tried thank you for the share i love this game 😁
@@Fit2PlayGames Yes the Game is awsome i played it as a Teen and loved it :) greetings
@@John.M likewise i was a sophomore in HS when i got my hands on this hidden gem, im just surprised that the follow ups were never released on NA, it definitely is a alternative to the way of the samurai series
@@Fit2PlayGames yeah i wish they would make a Fighting Game based on the First Game with new Graphics and stuff that would be so cool!
Not many people get to hear that crunchy badass jam at the end of the game. That is one of the many gifts you gotta earn in Kengo.
The training minigames are also fun but agreed. Learning this game fully on your own is so satisfying too.
@laurentiusmcmxcv Beating what me and my buddies call "Board guy" is the pinnacle of skill in this game. In tournament mode after beating all the masters. You are in that black training room and fight the guy with the 2x4 who smashes you if you sleep on meditation training. He is a absolute beast of an enemy. And, he's using a fuckin 2x4 and he's like 100yrs old lol.
@@FRANK45CASTLE The monk has every stat at 9999 I believe. Also he can use any of the 8 secret techniques at random.
@@laurentiusmcmxcv He's favorite technique is split my head open in one shot so I bleed to death sprinting away full speed lol. When I first killed him he actually bleed to death while i was sprinting away from him lol. It was a highlight of my PS2 gaming days.
@@FRANK45CASTLE It's still the best and least generic-looking Kengo
I love this game, Gettan is the master.....besides board guy. Captain 2x4 is a fuckin madman lol. Also i notices your using the saw method...love it.
I hecking love this game. Happy to see a full play through of it
14:57 lololol savage
Ah, I didn't know someone had ran this game. Nice stunlock exploit you got there.
They need to do a version of this where you can build your guy, cut parts off fatality style, and so you can play online. I mean they are using samurai swords right?
This game was very shitty... fortunately they made Sword of the Samurai after and it was excellent...
i use to play this game lots as a kid
me too :)
I remember those birds
Nerf spank spam.
Haha ^^
OMG this game is such a HIDDEN gem.
I agree. I had this on ps2 when u was a youngin.. was straight addicted to this game
First game I ever bought for my PS2. I was probably 11 or 12 years old lol. Brings back memories…
We need more people to give this game a chance. It's the most underrated title made by Genki to this day.
Nice run! bring back the memories :D
They seriously need to remake this game.
dpander83 Not just this game kengo legends the 9 also
Tommy Vamboi Bushido blade
This one of favorite games of all time. Top 20, its in there somewhere. I love the annoying bird level, the title screens obnoxious music used to be a wake up alarm with me and my friends when 3 of us lived in a studio apartment. I just wish the bald man with the 2x4 or as me and my friends call him...board guy, was a earnable charachter. A remake though? The world needs this game.
This game moves so beautifully and is very deep, but the commands system is also very frustrating when the characters seem to no longer respond or do the wrong moves... One of the many games/concepts that could be so great if properly remade and bettered on new consoles... Congratulations for the run, though, even if I know it's a tas, the technique used is so unelegant. It shows the problem with the control scheme, it's hard (impossible?) to make combats that are stylish and consistently victorious at the same time and that's kind of a failure imo...
analoglee just like your well thought-out structured comment
I'm prototyping a game like this. I have to agree though, controls really are bad and feel unresponsive at times. I feel this game is like a very rough diamond that's in need of some serious cutting and polishing. We need the next bushido blade.
I actually found specific techniques would actually flow together. Had 2 combos that weren't sooo. Clunky
About the command system, when moving around, you have to make a micro-pause when you shift directions, and then press the required direction. I have uploaded one video on my channel. Watch it.
@@troygainer3741Ye, this doesn't affect the A.I in the slightest lol EDIT: Also, the game has no diagonal inputs whatsoever.
