Just subbed! Can you check out the chest rig made by Administrative Results? At $400 its EXSPENSIVE, but i know he likes gear that's good quality so if its legit nice id think about it once i have a spare $400. But with options almost exactly the same for $200 idk. Need to know more about what makes it $400.
Thank you! Yeah I’d like to check that out too, looks really cool. I don’t really have any belt kit at the moment so it might be worth the purchase. I’ll see what I can do to get a hold of one 👌
going on almost 15 years since release
Pretty crazy, still one of the best rigs out there
Had my jsta for a couple years now I love it it’s been upgraded with wise men insert and tracer tactical silencer kit gonna be swapping the insert for the unobtanium gear one
Nice! I’ve always wanted to try that silencer kit, such a good idea
@ I highly recommend it it added a whole diff layer to usefulness i use it as a shell holder for the shorty while hunting and it’ll keep the Velcro from wearing out over time I’ve not had it slide out or come undone
@@misfitlife3091 yeah I’ve always liked snaps for that reason, but that has a little more adjustability to it
@@FlatRangeOutfitters oh yeah for sure you can kinda overstuff it to an extent as well the only thing I’d say negative is the elastic cord it comes with is a couple inches to short to be easy to insert things inside other than that it’s lasted over a year now no signs of wear or breaking dwn stitches are holding tight very high quality kit
Shock cord is an easy enough fix, yeah his gear seems well designed
Looks like a practical rig! Awesome Video!
Thanks! Yeah one of my favorite pieces of kit for sure
Of course I just purchased the Six Pack Dangler by the Israeli company Agilite ($60) then I see this video, luckily I’m still happy with my purchase after watching. I was looking for a dangler for medical that could convert to a concealed carry fanny, the features in the 6 pack fit my needs perfectly (especially with the TQ quick flap) but these are some great alternatives.
Ah okay right on, yeah I haven’t got the chance to mess with those yet but they look nice! Plus pretty inexpensive
is it made in the US?
Longtuckys is yes
Yeah looks like they’re based out of Colorado
On another note, nice video! Thanks for adding other options. Seems like you’ve got a good channel going and hopefully everything works out for you!
Thank you! I appreciate it, having fun doing it
It looks nice and sounds like it’s well built, but $99 for a fanny pack? I like supporting small businesses, but $99 is a bit steep. I bought something similar in grey for about $30 on Amazon with more pockets and better functionality.
Yeah it’s hard to discount the Amazon knockoffs for how cheap they can sell them. But yeah I tend to support American made as much as possible but I know people only have so much of a budget for gear
I feel like you won’t get better function out of a generic Amazon fancy pack over something more focused like this
@ Yeah true, I normally use a generic one but it doesn't have near the capability
I think this is a very interesting item but I agree with you; it looks too short for 30rd mags, like it would be top heavy. I also think once you start adding weight to a pack like this you need a 1.5" strap and probably a thicker one.
Yeah I think 20rd mags might be fine, and mainly as an emergency type of use case for in your vehicle etc. Not a bad product, just has some specific uses I think.
Loop always goes bad so you would have to replace the more expensive outer belt before the inner belt goes bad. That’s if the outer belt ever goes bad. I’m basing this on the fact that my work gloves always get worn out that way.
Good point, this style seems to have way more negatives than positives
Awesome Video!
Thank you!
Dude ... What made you cut the side buckle attachment points off ? That's a Rhetorical question and obviously you weren't thinking. I guess you're not using it as a Chest Rig with a X or H Harness ?
Yeah idk why, not one of my smartest moments. But no, I’ve got a couple stand alone chest rigs anyway.
@@FlatRangeOutfitters I'm sure you can find a Seamstress to Sew Loops back on and fix it. Local Cobbler maybe ?
@@TZOID08I can fix it if needed, I’ve got sewing machines and all that. Just mainly use it as a placard
Thanks for the video!
No prob!
Subbed
🙏
Something that expensive is just not worth it
Yeah there’s plenty of cheaper options out there
A gun belt is a gun belt. Tacticon armament sells the same thing WITH inner belt for like 50 bucks or something. It works exceptionally well for many of us. Made the same way. Veteran owned company. Most people won’t notice a difference at all, and I’m willing to bet It’ll last just as long. Sure feels like it’ll last as long as I need it to.
Just checked that out, hadn’t heard of them before. But yeah it looks identical, crazy deal
Love the content bro. Keep it up
Thank you! Much appreciated
Awesome Video!
Thank you! 🙏
Wise men company has a great insert for the JSTA
Those look pretty slick, hadn’t seen those before
@@FlatRangeOutfitters if you have the micro fight MK 4 or the other one the have an insert for that too. The tall one with hook on both side works best. Just a heads up
Right on, yeah those seem like good alternatives. Might pick some up
Nice. Helpful comment. Sadly out of stock.
@@samuelcabe3372yeah they sell out pretty quick I need four more myself 😂 but they do restock quickly
i got the cheep china airsoft amazon version of this....love it!
@@ClydeShelton-fv1lf Nice! Yeah the Chinese remakes seem to do alright
@@FlatRangeOutfitters held up so far and i do night shit.....
AWESOME VIDEO!
Thank you! 🙏
I've got the LBAC, it's probably their best one, with some minor issues.
@@MG01_Radar how’s the cummerbund?
@@FlatRangeOutfitters The tegris, amazing. Top tier! The nylon, not so much. Leaves a lot of space where there is no ability to do anything else with it without mods
@@MG01_Radar huh interesting...would be cool to check out and compare
No hate, but what makes this worth 80 smth dollars as opposed to the 5 dollar equivilant on ali express? It's not ir compliancy, as they're made out of the same materials.
I guess it depends on how long or often you plan on using it, let’s say the JSTA works well for you and makes your training easier for several years, I’d argue that’s worth the money. I don’t know for certain but even if the materials are technically the same the dyes and fabric treatment are probably what’s different.
I like mine but I don't really have a use for a 1+1 pouch and I think a zipper is the way to go here; the flap goes low enough that it can pull the whole thing up when you open it. Shepard Associated has some similar stuff, the Midwest pouches look nice but iirc the Shepard pouches address some of your concerns.
@@contrabassbob I hadn’t heard of them before, looks like they have some really good options though. Good price point too.
First off awesome video! Second off you do you. But Amazon has there same exact pouch for the most part for like 20 bucks plus a single ar mag sleeve and pistol mag sleeve. So for the cost of there’s I could grab a set of baofangs some extra .22 to run in my conversion kit to train. Then also put gas in the truck to get to the range. 🤷🏻♂️
@@meta-mario thanks! Yeah the amazon specials have their place for sure
I have a fully fitted Spiritus Systems LBV, that is great for patrolling. I just have a hard time getting over how light duty their gear feels compared to what I have used over the past 30 years. I doubt that it's going to fail me, but I also don't have the same confidence in it as I do my SOE, or old school Eagle and HSGI. I will have to dig up my stuff from Haley to compare it to. But I digress...
Yeah I think most older gear utilized 1000D nylon for most everything. Nowadays that’s way less common aside from rucks, bags etc. I know some companies offer some of the same products in 1000D, probably for contract purposes but I agree. Definitely has a different feel to it
I own the JSTA with 5.56 and Pistol inserts to run on my belt. I also own the 7x6x3 with dual 5.56 inserts. Like you said, the 7x6x3 could really do with an extra column of MOLLE, or to be a smaller main pouch. The 7x6x3 tends to have too much slop to it when you put any sort of gear in it. Still a decent pouch, but the JSTA is far superior in quality, and in my opinion, is much better suited for a the belt set up when compared to the 7x6x3.
Right on! Yeah I’m curious about the 7x6x2, might give that one a try, might be a little better for a belt setup
AWESOME VIDEO!
Thank you! 🤙
