I finished up the main BUS wiring on the layout, leaving only a couple minor things to do. Mounted my DCC Specialtiea circuit breaker to the layout frame with nylon stand offs.

While visiting family in eastern South Dakota I was able to catch this mixed freight near Garretson. Unfortunately I was not prepared and missed the power on video by seconds, did get a photo though.

Spotted a single locomotive and fuselage tied down outside of Sterling Colorado.

Caught this train just outside Sterling Colorado on the drive back from the Rocky Mountain Train Show. Getting to see the warbonnet was a surprise. Sorry for no audio, wind noise was very loud.

Started to run the main BUS wire for the new layout. I'm using 14awg stranded copper wire and Atlas code 55 terminal joiners.

The new layout design now has a frame that matches the foam topper.

I previously marked out the layout edges and made the cuts to finalize the shape.

I edited the original video which took some time. At the time of this recording my main BUS wiring was not done and only 2 feeders were connected to a NCE PowerCab. The train was just an assortment of cars for testing purposes.

I recently completely re-designed my N scale layout. Most of the track is temporarily placed and I'm starting the wiring. BNSF GP38-2 moves a short cut of cars from the main onto one of 3 grain elevator tracks. Trying out some basic operations to see how the track arrangements work before roadbed.
