    What was around his lip when you clipped his ears?

    • @melinaminnillo805
      @melinaminnillo805 6 років тому

      Victoriaa Equestriann it’s called a twitch. I don’t like using them to be honest - but in a short increment while I just did the ears it was helpful. It is believed that a twitch calms the horse by releasing endorphins as pressure is applied, thus reducing stress and pain during that time. But I do not recommend using for longer .

But yes, she’s a superstar! Totally deserved that win 💗

    • @melinaminnillo805
      @melinaminnillo805 6 років тому

      Raelyn B Awh okay! A lot of his healthy coat comes from proper feed / supplements. As far as grooming goes, lots of currying! But I don’t bathe often unless there is an occasion. But I can try to record the next time that I do!

    When you got your new ogilvy, you got the rear risers as well. Do you like he extra padding with them in? Do they help your saddle fit better? I’m thinking about getting some so was just curious:)

    • @melinaminnillo805
      @melinaminnillo805 6 років тому

      BayPonyjumper105 Yes, love them! Zini is very VERY uphill and has high withers , but with the rear riser padding in the back it helps my saddle sit perfectly on his shaped back 😊

    • @iluvhorses101linz
      @iluvhorses101linz 6 років тому

      Now do you only have the risers in the back or in the front as well? Do they bulk up your half pad a little more?

    • @melinaminnillo805
      @melinaminnillo805 6 років тому

      BayPonyjumper105 only in the back, and it does add a little bulk where you need it 👍🏼

    Would you be able to do a video on how you got your horse so soft in the hand? Loved this video

    • @melinaminnillo805
      @melinaminnillo805 6 років тому

      Ponies On Wheels thank you! And I’m not sure if it’s something that I did..he was always pretty naturally soft. He was started as a dressage horse actually, so I owe a lot of it to that. But we do a lot of flat work and work on leg to hand / leg before hand etc. I always keep a constant feel, but try to be light and giving on the inside rein when he is being responsive and holding himself. I hope this helps 💗

    Why did u delete it the first time? And Yup I'm buying myself a new cwd(when I get enough money, mine will do for now). Mines also custom I bought it 2 years ago as a 2g! They really do make a difference in your riding! I used to have a m. Toulouse, but ever since I switched to cwd I have felt like I'm sitting on a cloud and I felt like my total jumping got better and my horse felt better in training! Definitely will be buying another

    • @melinaminnillo805
