A how-to by The Blackheath Pottery. On my first vlog, I show you how to glaze pottery with a few helpful tips and tricks I have learned from along the way. I use Porcelain clay, fired to stoneware temperatures using 5 different colours. follow along on my social for up to date news from the pottery theblackheathpottery?hl=en TheBlackheathPottery/ www.blackheathpotter...
how do you measure to match the diameters, and how do you do it while throwing???
Such clean work. Very talanted.
Do you have a recipe for the green. It is so beautiful. I am from Ontario Canada
Can you do a studio tour
Wonderful tutorial. Thank you.
I much prefer to hear someone explaining what they’re doing, what measurements are being taken etc plus the normal background noises of a studio rather than music - especially when the music is louder. IMO.
I agree wholeheartedly. For me, the music made this video just about not worth watching for me. The later video of making a tea set from the throwdown, that was great.
Thank you 💖
I loved your glaze…is it a recipe you mix up yourself or do you buy it in?
I’d like to know too! The colours are so subtle and beautiful.
Actually i am missing the concept, since it was to be supposed to be a design for someone dear. You didn't even explain nor paint. I think that's why it really is only a tea-set but has less to do with the throwdown challange.
you sound like you're in the UK, are you going to enter the throwdown?
oft I didn't realise how long this video is! I think you'll get more views if you edit to about 15 min
You make beautiful pieces , so lovely to watch your craft . Great throw down challenge ❤
Well done you. I enjoyed watching. You could incorporate the decorating time that the potters get on the show. Look forward to more videos ❤
Loving watching these, you've created a new revolution in fandom, I hope it takes off. I want to see people playing along at home to "the block", "farmer wants a wife" and "Love Island" lol. But seriously love your work, please keep it up.
this is like a behind the scenes version of how it really works, amazing. There is so much more to the dry sculpting than you see on the show. Thank you
Awwww! Pretty kitty! I do the same, fire at night.
Looks beautiful
Well done, enjoyable video, would definetly like to see more videos
Hope you keep doing week to week.
It looked like you have some test tiles ready to go. Are you making your own glazes too?
Great video, thank you! I would have loved to see the results of the glazing :)
I enjoyed your video,, I'll give you a free cool idea to add. Try making your own tiny star, heart, clubs, spades, flowers, floral cookie cutters to hollow on the handle instead of solid handles.. that would be an awesome artisan touch to a simple design..
First show Sara went home but to me judges prejudice cause mathews bowl was crack and yet they kept him and send Sara home and her bowl was intact and finished showing me they choosed Mathews cracked bowl over Sara's perfect built bowl she had no no crack in her bowl so so so bias/prejudice white people always some how gets away with lot of crap and still moves on in competition
Such beautiful work! loved watching it. Would love to know how long it took to bake them and see the finished product after glazing.
It just seems magical, watching a potter at the wheel. You do beautiful work.
This is a lovely set. I’m finding it hard to believe that little thin handle will support the weight of that cheese dome though…how did it turn out after it was fired and glazed?
I'm worried that the handle on the fondue pot is too short and you're going to burn yourself. Otherwise a lovely set. Sending lots of love 💖 from sunny 🌞 Arizona 🌵😷 p.s. please do a short video on how they turned out after the glaze and firing.
Thank you for sharing, better than therapy, so wonderful to watch 😁
👍
👍
This was absolutely fascinating and a real pleasure to watch - looking forward to seeing them when they're all finished 😊
Ya really gotta love your job to perform the same steps over & over...!
How many hours a day, and days of the week do you work in your studio?---I learned ceramics in the 70's, not interested anymore, but enjoy watching you work! (And, admittedly, enjoy your music choices!)
I have total admiration for potters, to make something so good with just your hands and a wheel is awsome, I paint but to make a decent painting I have loads of equiment, you have minimal but turn out masterpieces every time, Bravo
That was fun to watch! thank you^^ Now I want to eat a Fondue Savoyarde with lots of cheese and yummy bread ^^
Merci ! I'm watching from France, where we unfortunately don't get to see the Great Pottery Throw Down. That was fun watching you. Your videos are great!
How hot do you heat your wax for?
Wonderful!!!
Thanks for the video. Can you share the ingredients of your glaze ?
Hi, I’m wondering if your getting to watch season 4 of the pottery throw down, if so where? I’m really want to watch it.. Thank you
Channel 4. All 4 on demand.
How did you learn pottery?, i want to learn too
Your work is lovely, thanks for sharing! The new Studio looks stunning - would love to see a tour of your space :)
Enjoyed this video and looking forward to seeing the results.
I use a chamois style cloth called ‘the absorber’ 27” x 17” on my wheel (cut round to hang over the wheel bit like a tablecloth) and this saves me throwing a clay pad to hold my bats on - works a dream and you can just keep it in water overnight. Needs to be used wetish. You can get it from loads of places including Amazon. 😃
I really enjoyed your show. Inspiring!
WHERE TF DO I WATCH IT. I LOVE SHENYUEEEEEE
Loved it from NC, USA. Thanks!
I truly appreciate your show and the premise! You make it look so easy. Would have loved to see the finished pieces but still lovely. Thank you.
Like your take on the challenge. We have not been able to watch in US so far even though a contestant is from here. This gives me a chance to see what was made and try to make it! Please keep up your weekly interpretation! Great work
Awww, Rubin, the helpin kitty! Oooo! Nice kiln! Can’t wait to see the pieces! 😄🍺. Cheers! Subscribed! Juli in Tucson, Arizona, USA. 🌵🌵🌵
Loving your glaze choice, not to mention your wonderful skill.
