This video has 9 UP locomotives heading a mixed freight train coming down the mountain heading north to Europe and beyond. I'm catching it at Salmon Creek Crossing on the 23rd of October.

Here's an unusual situation, this Union Pacific freight is carrying a passenger in a box car! I gave her a big wave and she waved back. Looked like she was having a great time. Her dogs too!

We're at the Oakridge yard and we've found a number of engines waiting with a red signal for southbound traffic. Who's going to move first? lets find out!
That's Power!

This is a great video of 8 Union Pacific Engines coming down the hill to the Oakridge Yard. All Power!
Remembering Neka

Here is a little video I found. We lost our Yellow Lab Neka last year, just a look back. She was a great dog and had just gotten her bath in this video. Always full of energy afterwards.
good to hear your voice. nice train
Great video! Come see lucastrainverse!
That’s some good old fashioned tree work. I can hear the modern day arborist screaming about using hooks, about lifting the skirt to much, about not using a cambium saver, and on and on. Well, you did what the owner wanted, the tree sure as heck doesn’t care, so nice job.
sure opened up and let the light in, good to hear your voice Norm
Yay the best part of Autumn is playing in the leaves and the changing colours . Looks like your having a ball wish I was there cuddlebugs
Cute!
First like and comment
Should never pull with ball hitch, it's not rated for much
Hi brother, love those old buildings
As many times as I have been to Sumpter I have never visited the yard. Me and some friends used to do a lot of mining there on Cracker Creek back in the 90's..... good times. Thank you for sharing✌🏼
Thanks, neat to watch the flowers open every evening!
Nice garden. Love the Hummingbird Moth.
Adorable! 🐀
Sage grouse ain’t coming back
Awwww so cuteee❤
Can you share where to get parts or repair service for a IH 240 Utility tractor? Power steering went up.
I've bought a lot of parts from Steiner Tractor Parts and smaller junk yards. Also local auto parts store was a big help. Good luck, some parts are hard to find or not available. I've also used local truck, Tractor repair people.
Interesting. Call me the next time you go to the reservoir - if I won't be in the way. Lots of water. Beautiful.
The pile of lumber at the end of your video was not the mine it was the stamp mill where they broke apart the rocks
Thanks, I did wonder that. Always nice to learn about these places.
@@normjbjarnson1068 My cousin owns property in Galena. don't know if you drove through when you went to Susanville but we have been working on old buildings there. Here is a link to some videos on the work we have been doing. ua-cam.com/channels/qS75joST8V8Rdc-Dteg1qA.html Enjoy
Thanks, yes we drove to Galena and spent an hour or so taking pictures of the buildings there. I like to draw the old buildings. Sumpter and that area is a favorite spot to hike and take pictures, have been to all the ghost towns and some mine sights. Definitely will check out your videos. I'm not so good at it, grandkids got me started, love trains to, so of lot of my videos are train videos. Thanks, Norm
I can’t believe that he didn’t even use his rotary cutter to knock this down. I’m an hour to an hour and a half south of CV. Maybe I’ll save $6,000 and not buy a cutter and just use my bucket to clear my sagebrush. I at least have 12-18 inches of top soil instead of sand, like this guy.
Wanted roots out, as it comes back fast. Have a great day! Worked out good for us.
Nice catch! Thank You for sharing this.
You're welcome, love those trains!
Thank you too!
Wildfire in August is the best thing for sagebrush. Worked for us in 2018. Burnt down to the roots and never came back.
Hi Norm, that should last a long time, the last metal roof we did with Flex tape and snow coat put three coats on. about seven days apart, and each coat about 12" wider then the last. that was about 12 years ago and roof has not leaked yet. Merry Christmas
Hey I recognize this place
love the old clocks.
now that's cool, love the sound of an old clock. will watch for more
Working on an International harvester B414 industrial steering and PTO. No Idea what I'm doing.
You'll get there, good luck. It's not always easy but eventually it comes together. I certainly don't know what I'm doing, relied on manuals and mechanics that have knowledge in different areas. Thanks

Tractor looks amazing! Love you guys!
Contractors name? I would like a quote. I have CV prop that needs clearing.
We’re looking at land in CV. Currently in Vancouver WA and it’s going down hill real fast. I grew up 3 1/2 miles from where I live now but so much has changed, we raised cows and hayed the neighbors fields which most are now neighborhoods. I gotta get this man’s number if we do decide to move out there.
Did this guy do it all for free or did you pay him?
Hi Mr. N it has been a few years past that i have worked on one but if i remember right the nub/pin at the end of the rod needs to be perused out and in, and the last on i worked on we had the worm gear we welded more steel to it and then tooled it down, a longer proses but worked quite well. the Tractor is looking great, looks like your doing a good job
This is cool and very helpful! I'm clearing land in Lind Washington and we have tons of sage brush. Thanks for the video, I'll look forward to more after I subscribe
I just looked up "clearing sagebrush" because I am in the process of buying a house in lind, wa. Then I see your comment. What are the odds future neighbor.
good to see You Norm, you do look tired the heat out there will do that to you, be careful, you might ask Patty about the neck cooler thing she uses in the heat. Lord Bless you.

I like train videos on UA-cam 👍
Does 2047 have an RS3L or a P3
I don't know if it's a Leslie or a Nathan. It doesn't look like a chime?
Ok do you think it might be a p3
@@kellenmatthews1440 I don't know for sure, ok? I'll guess it's a Leslie. Only have seen them stationary.
2063 has an RS3L
@@kellenmatthews1440 thanks, maybe I'll learn something. My favorite has to be steam whistles. 4449 tops the list.
Looking great! I am in chiloquin area with a few acres needing some clearing done as well!! Not as easy to get machine rentals n help out here though! Peace and good luck
