Sting (2024) A Disappointing Waste Of Potential | MOVIE REVIEW

Considering the amount of people that have arachnophobia, it seems strange that the closest we have had to a spider horror movie has been the big budget camp fest that was "Eight Legged Freaks" . That changes as "Sting" finally arrives in UK cinemas on 31st May. Does Sting set a new precedent for creature features? Or does it fail to capitalise on an untapped market. Thanks to every person who made this masterpiece possible. This movie has it all. It put me on an emotional rollercoaster and I loved every second of it. This is how a story should be told. A phenomenal piece of art that gets full scores and will forever be in my heart. One of the best animated films ever.

@@Oliver-fd6oh Well, two of them were gay, but I don't understand how that ruins the movie. It had a ton of good stuff that didn't focus on that part, and even then it was a well-written relationship with clear affection as well as conflict. The movie had strong emotional moments, plus the script was so funny. Nimona the character is a laugh riot. Could you list some specific examples of what you hated about the movie and why? I really wish to understand your viewpoint in case this movie has some genuine issues that I overlooked due to how much fun I was having while watching it.

The ending was a little weird but I think Kelly Anne wanted closure for the girls family that there was no video found for so she went on the dark web and found it. I was completely surprised when she went into the court room and started changing to look like one of the girls to get a response from the accused guy. Kind of a slow burn type movie but not bad overall.

That's strange to have started with Furiosa and not Fury Road. They are two completely different films. Furiosa feels more like the very first Mad Max film in pacing but with mini Fury Road sequences. Personally now that I know there was a 40 day war, I want to have seen more of that. I wish they hadn't butted Furiosa right up against Fury Road...there must be a bit of implied time between the two movies even if it is just a few weeks.

This movie just left so much out that would’ve gave us so much context. Like the whole Grammys situation, no one explained she was performing in the uk and not in the us because her visa was denied, she didn’t get to go to Coachella. So all of those nuisances were just missing even from that one night that it wasn’t touched on. How she told her friend she was bored and wanted to be high, and they had to film her performance a few times. Like none of this is in there. What about her recording with Tony Bennett, and going to st Lucia for almost a year and her dad following her there with a camera, like so much happened in the last few years before she passed it seems like she got a Grammy and bam she died. Like what?

Amy beat up Blake because he was trying to strangle her over drugs. She had bruises around her neck after the incident. I'm sure that happened more than once. Her best friend said Blake busted her lip open once over an argument. Amy has attacked Blake but not deliberately as far as i know. Marisa was horrible as Amy. The accent is exaggerated, she lacks Amy's compassion and humor. "I'm no Spice Girl" was what convinced me this was going to be a terrible movie. Yeah sometimes she sounded like Amy but most of the time not.
