you can cheese everything just by ramming doors in a lot of situations.. my first play through was more rewarding, because I didn't know the little tips and tricks.. once you know a handful of things, the game's difficulty tanks.. it has a very poorly designed difficulty curve.. it starts off very challenging, not knowing what to do in many situations, and then it quickly becomes a tedious game of guess who..

This game ruined the Medal of Honor franchise for me. The historically incorrect details, the more arcade like gaming, nah. Give me MOH, MOHAA, MOHPA anyday. Also the AI in this game was really bad, compared to its predecessors. No challenge at all in this game. Its also missing the atmosphere of previous MOH games. The good background music, for example.

Hi just came across ur videos great work keep up . TIP: u can convince the dispalcer beast to fight for you . a level 31 persuasion one of the most hardest rolls in the game but if u succeed it is way easier

4:52 I only played that game alittle bit on my OG xbox but that quote was burrowed into my head even years later. what a great way to start a game if you want to set a tone of choices matter and make the player constantly wonder "if I do that is a squad member dead" or "If I played that differently would ___ have still been alive"

TL;DR: Chief had a hard time, and Cortana was just about the only thing keeping him sane through much of it. I'm also ignoring the shitty writing of the 343 Halo games. More details than you're going to read, Brother Shme: By all rights, Cortana should've died in 4. Bringing her back through the Conduit is a bullshit cop out on 343's part, and was one of the big red flags that 343 had no idea what they were doing writing any Halo stories. As for Chief and Cortana's relationship, you have to remember that Chief is the product of a child soldier program that left him and the other SPARTAN-II's deeply indoctrinated from the age of 6, with absolutely none of the social conditioning that comes from a life in "normal" society. Also, the closest thing any of them had to a mother figure in this time was Dr. Halsey (who 343 actually did a decent job portraying. She's not a healthy mother figure). He has known nothing but a highly regimented, military life. He spent his teens fighting the Insurrection, and his entire adulthood fighting the Covenant. Cortana, like all Smart AI's in the Halo universe, was built off the neural patterns of a human brain. A clone of Halsey's brain, to be exact. In a way, they put an AI clone of his mom in his head. Cortana was also designed and built, by Halsey, as a potent tool to be used/work alongside the Spartans. Cortana was given her choice of which of the 30-ish Spartans she wanted to work with/be installed in the armor of. She chose John-117, Chief, because he was lucky. And because he was Halsey's favorite; again, Cortana is based on Halsey's brain. None of that is important to why Chief and Cortana had such a strong bond. It's just background, and shows that there was a lot of strong probability for it to be a flawed relationship. Their bond was so strong entirely because of all of the shit they went through together. Shortly after they were introduced (August 29), Reach fell, most of the remaining Spartan's (all of John's siblings, the only family he had) died in the fighting(August 30), Chief and Cortana escaped Reach on the Pillar of Autumn in cryosleep (August 30 to September 19), found the Ring (September 19), discovered the Flood (September 20), discovered the Rings are a Galactic Life Reset Button (September 21), returned to Reach (September ??), attacked/delayed a Covenant fleet heading for Earth (September 13), and had to fight for their lives nearly continuously. [The above events are listed in the correct chronological order, despite the raid on Unyielding Hierophant being dated September 13. There was some physics fuckery involving a Forerunner artifact in the relevant book, and because there is no game content to override it, the book is the canon regarding the time between the events of Halo: CE and Halo 2] This all takes place across the tail end of August and September of 2552. Chief often had no one else to rely on except Cortana through a month of the hardest fighting he had yet faced, and didn't have Blue Team at his side for the first time in his career. All told, John-117 had a very fucked up childhood, and an extremely difficult life as a solider. For him to be so attached to Cortana is hardly surprising, nor is it difficult to understand when looked at from an in-universe perspective.

Dare is still in ONI, still A9's control officer, and now Buck's wife. The Rookie was executed by an Insurrectionist in 2554.
