On Joy!
Respect within editing 🤗
Love you 2 , Great info that's helpful and encouraging indeed!
Excellent !
As a mature beginner this series explains the entire learning process , clean and simple.
Very good Video… Best I ever seen, thank you very much
She has a great, easily understandable explanation. Thanks
Great video. Looking forward to trying this
Something that helped me a lot and isn't always mentioned, is mast placement on the board. I moved my mast 1/2 an inch back from center position on the track and it made a huge difference in foil control once on foil. My feet suddenly felt equally balanced and I was able to fly much much longer and felt very much in control. Where as before I felt I was rising much too fast and felt it was hard to keep the nose down.
I am not really happy with the carve/turn from MA1750, do you think it would be worth changing to HA1180 also for lightwind Wingfoiling? Thanks
What size liter board are you on and what is your weight?
See how Karen miss spelled her name.😮
It was fine to see you this week in Dakhla this week. Again thank you for your videos. Pascal
2 mins impressive on a ma1750!! Agree super solid mast.
Just what I need
I don't know how you come up with this system to get up on the board sitting sideways to the board. And put it in first front foot. Before you start moving, that's absolutely wrong technique. You have to get on your knees directly with the direction of your board, not across your feet not supposed to hang off the side of the board. And not drag creating more drag off the board. So your position. On your knees directly with the direction of your board. Then you start picking up your wing off the water. And get your first moving speed upwind right away before you get up even first foot in front of you. I
I have one 1400 seven seas and it has very good lift, is fast, turns well and is fun.
Good stuff. Thanks for the tip.
Joining the list of thank yous! The key is practice and watching your videos over and over! Finally up on foil thanks to your beautiful video!
Fantastic
<3 Merci!
De rien Robert:)
This video is helping me a lot 😊 Thanks
Which tail did you use with 1180? Shim, no shim?
Fantastic, didn't think I'd ever get the foot switch under control. This is a huge help. Looking forward to 'How to tack, on the foil.'
Brilliant, delighted it helped Dave. We'll be covering tacking soon!
Very good videos, I am learning a lot from these series. What do you mean at 1:55 when you say “keep the board trimmed “ ?
Thank you:) By trimmed we mean keeping the board flat both nose to tail and rail to rail, so that it can glide and plane with least resistance.
These two are the best wingfoil teachers I have found on the internet. I have used them at every stage of my wingfoil learning. At a certain point, I looked around online to see what else people were offering that might help me progress. I was amazed at the amount of unhelpful, ego-driven "instruction" out there. Teaching is an art. It requires a lot of thought and understanding of how progression works. You don't just pontificate on the beach for awhile and then show some videos. STRONG appreciation for Christian and Karine for this excellent series. I am on the foil and very happy!!!!---Rod on Maui
Hi, is this wing to comparable to a Dutone Dlab ?
Great video, very helpful
Brilliant, great to hear:)
Nice pedagogy ! When I enter a jibe heel side and go out of it toe side, I succeed to go on riding broad reach toe side but when I want to move upwind the foil doesn't stop going upwind, I just cannot prevent it ! I end up at best flat on the water and use this to switch feet, otherwise in the water again ! That happens at sea with waves, with either a f one 1290 eagle or a f one 950 skate depending on the wind strength, two foils around 10 AR. There must a big mistake I make but I don't feel it. Would you have a guess ?
Hey Gillou. Make sure you straighten out after turning upwind. Point your wing forward and extend your front arm towards the nose of the board. This should stop the board and foil turning and keep you upright over the board. Hope it helps:)
Thank you for helping. When I am out of the jibe and ride toe side I do what you write and I am broad reach. That's when I want to go more upwind while still toe side that I am taken too much upwind and cannot correct the trajectory of the foil, as if it has too much inertia, and I end up head to wind. I believe I follow the instructions for going upwind while toe side but I must screw up one.
@@Gilloup OK understood. Sounds like you have to much weight back or are too far back on the board. If holding your wing forward doesn't help compensate for this, you'll need to change your stance. Before gybing you can either move both feet forward a little bit, or just move your back foot forward and across a touch more. This should put you in a better toe side stance:)
Thanks for sharing your knowledge! Your videos are very helpful and informative. What's the volume of your board please? I'm a beginner with an inflatable board and I struggle to stand on the board, is a rigid board more stable? Thanks
Glad that they help Cyril:) In this video the board is 118lts. Rigid boards can feel more stable as they sit a little deeper in the water. Also the mast and foil will add stability. And finally, nothing beats flat water. If you are struggling, bigger is better.
Gawd, how I love these people! :-) Best, Rob ^^
Always a pleasure to enjoy your positivity Rob:)
It's great you see you back, I find your video tutorials among the very best, and you have helped me enormously, so thank you. Now to learn how to tack...
Brilliant, thanks Tim. Here's to your tacking:)
AFS ANS SILK IS BETTER... so much... and the new mast 75 UHM the best of the best
Great video! Thank'you!!!!
The best video I’ve seen so far. Been kiteboarding since 2003, I will move to wing foiling so with this information I have a good idea.

Brilliant, thanks for the feedback. Hope you enjoy the series.
Been surfing for 45years no way I can switch foot I’ll be riding toe side just like surfing back hand.
You just might be surprised, give it a go:)
Hi there, where are you filming this video, please. May need to visit. Thanks.
Best learning video, to date. Thank you.
Hey Charlie, delighted that you like it, and hopefully it'll help. Video shot in Portugal.
Wow! Great! Is it 72 mast?
fantastic and very professional video: thank you both for existing! Precision is a very important thing even if everyone doesn't appreciate it enough. Thank you!
Haha, thank you Andrea, we appreciate your positive feedback:)
transitioning from a f-one phantom 1480/275 cm to the sk8 1050/200 cm. board i ride currently is an f one 120L rocket. i am 220 lbs/105kg and have a question about starting mast position for the sk8. I usually set the phantom around the 3 position and that feels balanced to me. DO you have a recommendation for where to start the mast position on the sk8? i have done the hand under the front foils center of lift and mast position 5 sets the board level but that seems almost all the way forward in the mast tracks. Thoughts?
So what foil setup hangs beneath and how many kg does Jack carry?
