And I wrote this same comment on your earlier video, chances are you will probably see this comment before you see the other one :) so here it is again: Which android tablet would you recommend for Infinite painter that can also be used as a phone? I'm trying to get myself to drawing more daily when I'm out and about but I know I won't want to carry both a phone and a small tablet, so want to see if there are any bigger screen devices that support this app, that can also be used as phones, thanks in advance!! (Btw, what program do you use for screen capture while you draw? Love your drawing style!!!).

    (This may be out of topic, but-) Tbh, im having 2nd thoughts whether to get galaxy s23 or not (cuz crazily, i see a massive sale of it in some store app and it's nearly free-) though, idk if it's worth it having two phones, even though this one would be my mine- So from the question, since you use it, does it really comes with a pen pressure sensitivity from s pen?? I'm dying to try and own a phone with a pressure sensitivity, so i dont have to change brush all the time, and be efficient with it.

      Hey! Yes, the S-pen pressure sensitivity works right out of the box. You just need an app that can use it, like Infinite Painter or Clip Studio. Sorry that yo had such an awful experience with printing out your digital work. Hi Avi. I have been looking for good tutorials for Infinite painter and yours are by far the best I've come across. I'm pretty new to digital art and purchased a Picassotab to practice the lay in for portraits. You know, Loomis lines, etc. Because I need to go over a reference photo with the opacity turned down and then try the lay in free hand. I sure hope that you keep doing Infinite painter tutorials. But I still don't know how to get this tablet to rename a file. I don't know how to do a right click command. Sorry, now I'm just complaining. Thanks for some great videos with super easy to follow steps.

      Hey there, thank you for the kind words. It means a lot! 😁😁 I'll have to look into Picasso-tabs, I haven't used those before. As for you questions, most of the file management related actions you'll have the use the file manager app on your android phone. Each phone brand has a different app, or you can download google's free file app from the play store.To rename a file just long press on a file until you see the sub menu options pop-up. I hope that helps!

    I'm facing the same issue. It's frustrating because I love the brushes, but the app just isn't usable for me. I currently paint in Ibis Paint, but I want to switch to something with a more professional design, similar to Procreate. Unfortunately, I can't use Procreate since I've moved away from Apple. I’ve tried Krita, Medibang, and Clip Studio, but none of them feel optimized for tablet use in terms of interface. So, I’m stuck with Ibis Paint-it works fine, but I’m not a fan of its appearance, and it lacks some features I need.

    • @DrawingWithAvi
      @DrawingWithAvi 20 днів тому

      Hey, glad to hear you've drawing on your S23. how do you like it so far? In terms of tips, I'd say figure out how to best stabilize the phone when drawing. That camera bump can make the phone wobble on a table. So invest in a phone case that makes the back flush or a get a stand . When you're on the go its less of an issue cause you're holding it with your hand. If you find the included s-pen is too small for extended drawing sessions, you can get any Wacom EMR pen and it will work with your device. The only thing is you have to first remove the s-pen from the slot otherwise the pen feature doesn't work. In terms of apps, there's a lot of good ones on the play store. I prefer Clip Studio Paint or Infinite Painter. Sorry for the long response. If you have any specific questions, let me know. I hope you're having fun with your S23!

    For me it sometime feel like I have artist block, but I know I don't since I have a lot of ideas. It feels like I don't know how to start overall when sketching. Like I have this habit of just randomly drawing with no idea of what I am doing and when I sketch it is always a mess. I know I SHOULD have an idea of what I am drawing but it always seems and FEELS like I don't. I just as if I am just randomly driving with no destination.

    • @DrawingWithAvi
      @DrawingWithAvi 29 днів тому

      Hey, honestly I feel the same way a lot of the times when I'm sketching. I get 10, 20 minutes in and I get frustrated cause it feels like its directionless and useless. It's important to remember to not feel too negative towards the act of drawing. If a session is feeling really sucky, you can walk away and try again tomorrow. Or you can switch it up and draw something new that you usually don't draw, giving yourself permission to suck cause its something you're not used to. In my case, if I'm hating a sketching session, I'll turn it into a study session and just draw some hands or poses from reference. The way I learned to see it, even if the drawings suck, its still a win cause i put in the time to work through it. Drawing isn't a genetic talent. It's a skill. As aspiring artists we have to put in the work every day to grind it out. It really is like going to the gym! Sorry for the long response, but I hope it helps. Thanks for watching and taking the time to drop a comment! Much appreciated 😊

      @@DrawingWithAvi, your answer wasn't too long. In fact, I appreciate long detail answers. I understand what you mean. Sometimes you have to go a different routine when sketching. • @DrawingWithAvi
      @DrawingWithAvi Місяць тому

      Thanks! For traditional sketching, I like to use the spiral bound sketchbook. They don't look as nice as those moleskin type sketch books but they are so much easier to deal with. I also recommend using a softer lead pencil like a 2b pencil for rough sketching then switch to a hb for tightening up and polishing your roughs. If you want to add some gray-scale shading then copics are great. For erasers I'd use a kneaded eraser for soft erasing and Steadler white eraser for heavy duty removals. Hope that helps!!

      Thanks man, glad you like my sketching and the video! I completely agree, maintaining that discipline is really hard especially when you have a lot going on. But those 10 or 15 min doodles go a long way. Keep it up!

      Thank you! Feel free to study my artwork as much as you like. Honestly, like more artist, I never consciously developed a style. I think it's one of those things that develop after many hours of doing the basics. Glad you liked the video! 😁😁

    Art teachers used to scold for not using references and just freestyling, so not sure when that mindset flipped to cheating.

    • @DrawingWithAvi
      @DrawingWithAvi Місяць тому

      It's so odd. I sometimes see comments like that on drawings videos or Instagram posts. Hopefully that attitude is the minority and not the majority!

      Hey, thanks! I get most of my reference from Pinterest, which is a great way to discover and organize reference material. In fact, I plan to post a new video tomorrow to talk about using references for sketching! I appreciate the watch and the comment 😁

    I realized that I'm late to the party on this but she's not just the emperor's second apprentice invader's rival. She also married Luke. Sadly he outlived her and their child. Disney Star Wars sucks re canonize the expanded universe.

      The expanded universe was awesome. I didn't love everything about it, but at least Luke, Han and Leia had more interesting stories than the Disney canon. Great point about Mara Jade, I appreciate the watch and comment 😊

    For some reason, spending time away from drawing like a day or two gives me more success then not, I don't seem to have that drawing atrophy problem, it only seems to give me foresight.

      This is a true phenomenon that happens in a lot of creative fields. Creative writing is a prime example, where famous authors often take breaks between projects or writing sessions to recharge their creative fuel. I think there's a balance of both. Consistency allows you to build on your technical foundation, while breaks can give you inspired results. Ultimately, its up to the individual to figure what works best for them.

    I love this approach to sketching! My schedule is rather loose, but I've made a habit of sketching during/between classes and such. It's both great practice, and a ways of keeping myself from dozing off during lessons! I love your sketches, by the way! Beautiful stylization!

      Nice! Getting in any time to do some sketches is a win, so glad to hear you've found a way with your classes. Thanks for watching the video and leaving such kind words, I really appreciate it 😊
