I kind of had a similar problem.... And the solution became evident very quickly ... I live stream using my TV for fun and business.... Webcam has a max of 4K..... plugged into Android TV box is 8K max... With special 8K HDMI cable to TV.......... But TV was only detecting and broadcasting camera as 2K ............... I needed to get a new TV 4K or higher was my solution .... My older Sony TV was only 2K.. But with the gain control set high... And adjusting the brightness and sharpness settings etc....... and room lighting it actually looks pretty good for 2K .... Hope this may help some people also. ...... So in a nutshell... If your camera is 4K.... Then all of your other devices has to be 4K or higher... Including HDMI cables.... And if web camera is USB 3.0 .....((( 2.0 USB ports are still pretty common... My Android TV box has 2 2.0 ports and one 3.0 port.....)))..... Then the device that it plugs into has to have a 3.0 USB input port. The 3.0 they are blue plastic inside .... not white. ...... So everything has to be compatible ....... And most likely you will have to go and adjust the settings on all the devices that are hooked up together... Even though everything is plug-and-play it will work right away... but may need to adjust settings to get full camera resolution...For me it was my TV settings and my Android TV box settings. And for a smooth picture I also use ethernet not Wi-Fi for my TVs and my home PCs because it's much faster and smoother.... And if you're using an Android TV box with no webcam settings ... Or.. if it only has limited settings...then you can download a free user friendly webcam settings app on Google Play store. Cheers. 🎉 .... You should make a tutorial video based on my experience as it's a common problem also. ..... Also a quick side note .... 30 FPS...... 30 frames per second.... My camera has a max of 60 fps.... Live TV broadcasts at 24 - 27 frames per second... And 24 fps is the speed that Disney uses for its movies and animation..... 24 FPS is considered optimal cinematic to the human eye...What I have found if your device supports 60 fps ... You may need to adjust the lighting of your room... And the gain control in your device settings. But 30 FPS is perfectly fine.....so if 24 is good enough for Disney.... Then 30 should be more than good enough.... Unless a person is an ultra perfectionist... The human eye sees approximately 30 FPS....... That is what our brains consciously register..... However the subconscious mind can register Thousands of frames per second...... That's why there is a debate on how fast the human eye can actually see... I'm a doctor in neurosciences so I know the answer to this debate very well..... And the truth of it..... Consciously aware versus subconsciously aware..... Big big difference.... Okay I got to get to bed now. 💤 💤

I love the comparison - I just wanted to stop by and say that my Dell QuietKey SK-8110 finally died after 22 years of daily use. I bought it new in '02 or '03. Of course it was the W key that went bad (forward key in most games lol). My friend had an old one laying around and I replaced the rubber dome membrane and she's back up and running!!!
