I purchased this on amazon and im struggling with building it. The rod that gets screwed to the base, what did the screws attach to? My rod is just a hollow tube with a cap. I see no threading or way for the screw to afix the rod to the base. What did your tube look like?

Was looking for a step by step set up demo to complement the scant instruction from the package, but to no avail. The audio is barely audible. He keeps saying "obviously" instead of giving any helpful set up information. If it is that "obvious", why do we need him?
