    美洲商陆全株有毒,毒性非常强。 虽然据统计,尚未出现不慎使用而导致死亡的情况,不过,成熟的果实一串串下垂,常被儿童误作野生葡萄服用,从而导致中毒。 中毒症状为:腹部抽搐,心跳加剧,严重呕吐,痢疾以及呼吸困难。 商陆越成熟,毒性越强,特别是地下茎块,在任何成长阶段,都不宜食用。

    Cicada is not poisonous to humans and pets.

  • @PresentGarden
    @PresentGarden Місяць тому

    2024 is the 17-year. Shortly after a 17-year cicada nymph hatches from its egg, it burrows into the ground, where it spends-as its name suggests-the first 17 years of its life. When it emerges from the ground, it lives only four to six more weeks-just long enough to mate, fertilize or lay eggs, and start the cycle all over again.

    Sweet alyssum grows best in cooler temperatures, so it will bloom in the spring, fade in the summer, and re-bloom again in the fall. It is typically grown as an annual, but will survive as a perennial in warmer climates. Love the smell, hope it can self seed like others say.

    Queen Anne's Lace Ingesting parts of the plant can be toxic for some people and animals, however. In addition, the plant looks similar to several others that can cause more serious reactions, so it's best not to touch it unless you can be sure of what it is.

    • @PresentGarden
      @PresentGarden 2 місяці тому

      This plant is invasive and competes with other plants, and pulling and mowing are good ways to control it. Do so in mid to late summer before it flowers and sets seeds. Bees and butterflies are attracted to it, so consider replacing it with another pollinator-friendly plant.

    • @PresentGarden
      @PresentGarden 2 місяці тому

      The stems of both poison hemlock and Queen Anne's lace are hollow, but poison hemlock will have small purple spots all over its smooth stem and triangular leaves. Queen Anne's lace has no purple spots on its stem, which is hairy.
