25 Things I Discovered in Build 42 | Project Zomboid
Переглядів 16 тис.Місяць тому
I've been excited to play the new build and found some cool stuff during my play-throughs.
Yoo can somebody answer me,, IF i switch to the unstable version of the game, WOULD my old saves be broken even if I didn't open them?
why are they dead? why are they still shopping? 😂
Enjoyed this. If you try CDDA again, consider a build that starts with foraging 3 so you can move across the map without starving and Angler so you can sustain with fish. Currently on day 17 with this build: Park Ranger: -Thin Skin, Slow Learner, Conspicuous, Prone to Illness, Reluctant Fighter, Slow Healer, Weak Stomach, Short Sighted, Slow Reader +Cat Eyes, Outdoorsy, Angler, Stout, Wilderness Knowledge, Athletic The biggest early game annoyance is short sighted, but glasses are super common. Any pair of prescription glasses will work, so long as they're not reading glasses. Keep a spare in case you drop and break the first pair you find. I think in this latest run, I managed to find a pair on day 2. The rest of the negatives do make the late game harder, especially slow learner with reduced weapon XP gains, but the beginning is by far the hardest part of CDDA, and so long as you can find a nice place and start fishing / cooking you "should" be able to survive long term. The scarecrow in the farm up north along with zombie clothing should keep you warm enough for the trip wherever you want to go. With foraging 3 you can scout for berries right away and they take care of both hunger and thirst, but are low calorie, hence why Angler is so important so you can fish later on after collecting the materials you need for a makeshift rod. Crashed cars make for very safe sleeping spots so long as they're far enough out of towns. Another high probability spawn along roads and trails is a zombie hiker, which is fantastic for reasons that should be apparent, backpacks, sleeping bags, things like that occasionally spawning on them. 42 drastically alters the types of zombies that spawn based on where you're at, so it's somewhat reliable to plan for things like that. Crashed ambulance is how I managed to get my leg stitched up in this latest run, also something that's super common when traveling. Made the walk all the way to Fallas Lake before realizing I absolutely cannot sustain there, too high pop. Still seems very doable with this build if I can find the right place on the map to base up. Am on my way to the 3 mansions west of West Point to see if they're also overrun to the point of making a long term base impossible. Wish me luck! (Edit: Hahaha, don't go there! It has a wall of zombies in CDDA. Ended up settling in the cabin in the woods about half way between Riverside and Westpoint, setting up for long term survival still, about a 2 day walk away from Riverside.) Subscribed, by the way.
I made a similar character: a park ranger with dexterous, cats eyes, outdoorsy etc. I think I tried 4 or 5 hours and gave up. The main reason being that even in the woods if I stopped for 10 seconds a horde of more than 10 zombies appeared. I couldn't lose them with my escaping techniques, like stopping for a moment for the AI path-finding to stop tracking (if it really works this way) and other tricks. I guess my sneezes were very loud. But as I've seen others manage going further I must be doing something wrong. Maybe my diversifying wasn't enough or I lingered somewhere too long, I don't know and lost my interest finding out. I felt I spent too much time on restarting and started to get frustrated. It is a brutal game mode in b42. Most likely a skill issue. I ended making my own challenge run.
This is so cool. I hope there is a no commentary version of this mod so we can see all the additional details
the map is not finished - they will be expanding kentucky many times - fun thing to point out for map modders - you guys should use the over the river the area because the devs will never go out of state - new albony and jeffersonville indiana are just across that river there ( mod them modders!)
b42 sucks ass, my veteran cant shoot a guy whos 2 feet away standing still, with a shotgun that had 4 bullets what a fucking joke of an aim system
Good video not at spoiler at all... In my party I end up locked in a basement after the nuke
Keep these coming dude
Hey bro, love the content. Just wanted to tell you about two more bugs that are currently in the game and serious help your character. 1. Food glitch. If you butcher a dead animal and the carcass is in a container like a box, fridge ect. You will get meat out of it but the carcass will not be used up. You can do this as much as you like. Even if the carcass is rotten, you will get fresh food. 2. If you rest your character and begin an exercise you will be resting but will still be getting strength or fitness xp. Currently you will also max out your regularity bar. This is very overpowered
I know from the first time I saw your thumbnail, there must be something funny going on. And I were right, there wad a humping car. 😂 Nice content tho 👍
100 player server, MMMMMMMM
yup - multiplayer getting all the love this build - its about godamn time
i dont get why this guy doesnt have more Subs

I'm sorry but every time I see that "only something something percent of viewers aren't subscribed" bit it's an active reminder not to subscribe
I figured that since it was such an absurd percentage that it would come off as a joke, but I don’t think I gave great tone for the delivery
@@bardelo_bardalini its always gonna be that percentage - thats the same ratio of ppl who would willing accept solicitation irl - 99% of youtube viewers period are casual - we dont want to see everything you ever make - but the couple videos we did see were good - and them godamn commercials.... i dont think ive been coaxed into buying a product that way in my entire life lol - some commercials are so annoying that i will actualy boycotts specific products lol
@@bardelo_bardaliniHey, it's a pity I know. Great content btw. Just keep up the good work and being persistent! 👍
I don't think this location will exist in this condition when build 42 releases properly. Its just a beta right now and that place looks incredibly unfinished.
It definitely looks like its meant to be a civil war fort.
But yeah, probably also just a testing area for now.
Every unfinished area pretty much looks like this
Looks like "The Castle" from Fallout 4
Adrenaline junkies is never worth it as you start to become less panicked the longer you survive. Once you get warm cloths Resilient becomes wasted points as well. Wilderness Knowledge is a much better use of that 8 points.
I see your point. Resilient becomes rather redundant mixed with outdoorsy. The loot is just so poor that finding warm clothes early on is a task in and of itself. I guess it would largely be dependent on how much of a detriment having a nasty cold is. However, Adrenaline Junkie is huge in CDDA since the injury makes you slower than the zombies. I’ve ran without it before, but having it makes the first few minutes so much easier.
Once you bandage up you are fast enough. Crouching helps as well. When in the shed you should have used the windows like you would use fences, it makes it way easier and it's less of a stamina drain, but I run slow metabolism and only 5 strength so I have to manage stamina a little more.
I think you said it best, man. 6:00 "If you stick around, you'll be really popular, real quick." Hope you stick around, I really enjoyed your video style. :}
Fallout 4 The Castle design for real actually
Honestly, that fort really reminds me of "The Castle" in Fallout 4. The Minuteman HQ that was taken over by mirelurks.
Did you know Boston built an actual fort in the same exact location in real life in honor of Fallout 4? crazy right?
Hah! I guess you can say it's a seven days to die mod
I've been doing something similar to you, except I've been staying in the farm house and heading across the woods towards the bar. Aggroing a bunch of zombies by screaming, then kiting them into the woods to loot. Using a trowel or spade or anything similar to dig for worms and foraging for berries/grasshoppers also provides much needed earlygame calories while your body heals.
I think the problem you had with the windows is a known bug. It seems that you can’t climb through south facing windows.
0:58 you can light your cigarrete inside a car too!
I loved this game mode in B41. Next patch my first run will be CDDA because why not lol
1:10 that's ur character's wife lmao
75 beers would be an absolute godsend for my More Traits alcoholic.
For anyone who is trying to keep track of the locations, look up “B42 Interactive map” online. Look towards the northeastern part of Muldraugh and you’ll find all of the locations. They’re relatively close to one another.
Just a tip for recommending traits, you should pick up the mod that shows you exactly what traits do. It has been updated for B42 and includes a warning for the bugged overweight trait and exactly what's bugged with it.
When i hear CDDA i thought of the actual game. Hadda look back to make sure this was project zomboid for a hard second
Hate to be that dude, but this is a mess
Actually, your buddy can ride thevechile but it will be prone to bugs in sandbox
Anyone know how this mod works in multiplayer?
I don’t believe it works currently since B42 doesn’t have multiplayer active
drag dead bodies outside before looting them otherwise the store will steal your money
HI Everyone i have a question .... everytime when i start a new game iam allready starting at Friday ? can somebody tell me how i can start at monday
In the sandbox settings. I believe it’s under the Time tab.
@@st.michaelthearchangel7774 thank you so much
does this mod support multiplayer?
I don’t believe it does at this time
Are you sure this mod isn't a test for the B43 or 44? Or whenever NPCs are supposed to come.
That would be amazing if it was true, but I’m pretty certain this was just created as an add-on. Similar to Day One.
Make more videos dude. Thats one was really good.
Thanks!
how can i become a policeman with job?
i hope authors of this mod (and day one) will get hired to the TIS to make vanilla npc's in future
This should also be added as a game mode/spawn when npc's come out.
@@bradycharles9571 for a story mode, yeah
Day one and Week one mods were made by the same person
looking at how janky the mod is and how in general NPCs are hard to do and do so in a good way and how long these devs take, I don't think we will see NPCs until late 2027 and thats talking only the "alpha" NPC's in the first part of the roadmap
@@bruh-bn3ni original dev could just focus on the main game ,while the modder (who got hired) focus on developing the NPCs
I use an xbox controller so i have to wait 😞
If I was going to make a 1 week before mod, I'd limit the scope to just one small town instead of the whole map. Then I would manually path out the actions of the NPC's, maybe even give them some dialog and back story.
Then make one yourself then ,cmon "idea" man you could do it!
If you apologize to the person you hit they usually forgive you
Good to know!
How do I do that
Yeah
@@MongTophThrough a context menu. They mostly responding to you. For example you can ask them "what time is it?" or ask them to wait you outside.
This mod seems to be best for a louisville start, as it lines up well for the fall of louiville
really cool and well made video!
Thanks!
Awesome video. Does this go directly into day one mod or the main game? I mean as of gameplay story. Or do you have to start another save at the end of the week?
It goes directly into the main game, but I’ve heard it has the same Day One ending
Dogshi mod, all mods are dogshi for project zomboid.
definitely not, the mods are what makes this game so much fun and replayable
Why did you click a video about a modded game if you dont like mods on your game....
It seems like your parents didn’t give u attention
Lmao hating from outside the club.
Awesome video. Love that both of you basically play together in a sense. Soda or other pop is cucurrently bugged and sets your hunger, thirst and fatigue to 0. I saw after you drank the ginger ale you tried to sleep. Just incase you didn’t know
Thank you! This is good to know. I appreciate the info!
