This is Fred. He comes to my balcony every day during my work lunch. He likes to sit on this balcony post and chirp really loudly until I come and sit on the balcony and then he just sits there and chills lol. I decided to put my camera on the balcony right before lunch today to see if I could show him to y'all :)

First visit home after 2 years abroad in Germany
Переглядів 221Рік тому
After living and working in Germany for over two years now, I finally got the opportunity to visit home. It felt weirdly nostalgic my last week in Germany and the first few weeks in the US, so I tried to capture that feeling in this video with the music I remixed and the visuals from my trip. Enjoy :)

I thought a facism joke was coming ngl
LOL
Keep working toward your goals man, as long as you don't lose your drive, haters can't prosper over you. Not every joke is gonna slay. It takes massive balls to put yourself out there like that, and in front of a crowd takes even bigger ones. Keep moving forward. The lessons you learn from your success will NEVER be greater than the lessons you learn from your defeats.
dude thanks so much for your comment! trying a 2nd open mic soon, I'll see if I can't get a video of it as well. an opener joke I might use is "i was buying eggs at walmart today and noticed that the egg carton says the same thing as my passport, just a description of me: 'extra large white'"
Quit now while you’re only so far behind
Ngl I love this comment 😂
Lol, I fuck around bro. You’re not bad and that crowd was brutal
Couldn’t understand half of it due to the bitches (guys too) in the background yapping
Aye bro good shit fuck what haters say gotta fail to succeed keep going!
Honestly, set up is too long for a really mediocre pay off. Keep working on it.
Almost hilarious but loved it. Keep going!!!
We all start somewhere and you’re doing more than 99% of standup fans by just getting behind a mic in front of real people. The only thing, other than confidence which, if you stick to it will come naturally, is your voice. For instance, when you quoted the usual German response to you being American, do it in a stereotypical German accent. It doesn’t even have to be GOOD, just switching it up is enough to get another laugh out of folks. Everyone loves accents, especially if they enhance the bit in one way or another. You’re the first non famous, and not on Kill Tony new open mic comic that I didn’t straight up cringe watching. Keep it up homie :)
This feedback rly helps. Thanks!! ❤
lol thx for the feedback 😂
I did not puke
Maybe work on delivery a little
I puked
Terrible
Political parties
Lmao this is literally a minor dream of mine, to start this way into the path.
go for it! i spent the last six months writing down jokes on a list on my phone whenever I thought of one. Then, tested them out on different friends, and out of 200 jokes filtered out the top 20 received by different friends (most importantly; friends that have different senses of humor), and used about 15 of the top 20 for this first open mic. It was an unexpected success when the crowd got into it about halfway through! :) also, for feedback, which joke was your favorite that I should use in my next set? if you enjoyed my set, please share it with a friend btw!
Way to go, Reeder! 👏👏 The bumper sticker one is my favorite! 😆
thanks matte!! :) haha, it's my favorite too!!
Braaaavoooooo
I actually love the fake political parties lol
yeah, me too 😆
Tattoo joke was quite colorful 😄 ! The spruce bit and schizo bit not too shabby, and the Confident delivery remarkable for a new comic #comedictalent!
comment your favorite joke! :)
Burd.
It’s a bird friend. A briend?
Okay but what's the UFO
Haha! I think it’s actually the planet Venus if I remember correctly, it was supposed to be visible the day I got the video
Yup, pretty cool indeed. 👋💜
awww andyyy thx haha
OMG it's amazinnng maaan <3
It IS pretty cool 🙌🙌
😀
The stone throw and clap I’m laughing so hard lol
😂😂 yeah most of these video clips I just let my phone sit there and record for a while till i forgot it was there and then I’d take the last five seconds of a super long video and show how I am when I’m not aware of a camera recording, to make the video more real somehow
Yayyyyy!!
The background isn’t too dark it’s actually spectacular! so is the 4 hour a day commitment to learning a new language
So orange 😂
If you have any questions, feel free to put them in the comments below! I'll be choosing some of them to answer in my upcoming Q&A video! :)
Shoutout Reeder Ward for keeping the vid under 10m.

Here are a few tipps to understand the German perspective: The lady in the supermarket wants you to use a shoping cart because they are only allowed to have an certain number of customers in the shop at the same time. So the shop reduced the amount of available carts and asks you, to only enter the shop with a cart. This way they intend to make sure that there will be no more than the allowed max number of customers in the shop. The First floor in a building is called Erdgeschoss, which translates to 'ground floor' and the next floor on top is the first floor. It is not really logical, I agree. Casual questions do hardly exist in german culture. If you ask a question, Germans feel obliged to answer correctly. Small talk or beating around the bush is not really the german way. We bluntly speek facts and to the point which might even be considered offensive in other cultures. I hope you have a good time here in Germany even though through this pandemic not much is normal.
Hello! Thank you for the detailed explanation! And yeah, thank you, I have really enjoyed my time here in Germany and am looking forward to the next 6 months of living here! :)
Great intro to Chicago!!!
