My name is Vanessa and I am a self-taught jeweler. I bought my first soldering kit in 2022 and taught myself how to make jewelry through trial and error... a LOT of error. I work with silver, gold-fill and gold metals to bring you unique and handmade jewelry! I hope to be able to share my process, tips and tricks with you to help you on your metalsmithing journey or for those who enjoy ASMR and process type videos.
I quit my job in August 2023 to pursue my business full time. At the time, I had less than 300 Instagram followers and didn't even have a UA-cam account... But, I believe in myself and my work, and I hope you believe in me enough to share this journey with me. If you’re still reading, you’re a rock star!! I hope you enjoy my page and see you in the comments 🤍
With Love,
Vanessa

I wish I would have captured what went down…. It was definitely a direct shot at me and I should have known because as soon as I walked in, a vendor yelled at me not to get her booth… All in all, it was a successful trip because I got what I came for and more! Watch until the end to see the gorgeous haul that came home with me. #jewelry #crystals #moissanite #labradorite #gemstones #jeweler #me...

Thank you, Vanessa, for sharing both your successes and challenges with us! It’s helpful and inspiring! Hope you and yours have a lovely holiday💖💖
Merry Chrismas! Don't dispair you can do this ,I've been there. Just for practice, use 24 ga. sheet and cheap break apart chop sticks to roll your metal on and don't give up.
Don’t give up, you can girl! Merry christmas
MERRY CHRISTMAS, Vanessa, thank you for sharing even in CHRISTMAS Eve. I love your videos .
Merry Christmas, Araceli!! 🎁🎄 thank you for watching!! I hope you have a wonderful holiday!!
I love to watch your videos…Happy Christmas 🎄
Thank you so much 🥹🫶🏼 this one was such a downer since it didn’t work out…but I’m glad you enjoyed it! Merry Christmas!! 🎄🎁
❤
🤍
Vanessa, you are an inspiration to me. Thank you for sharing your journey. And yess i struggle with taking videos of myself, but you have helped me in how yo grow my small dream business, and hopefully, I can quit my full-time job.
Thank you so much for your kind words!! Keep going and growing! Consistency is key!! And, you will be able to quit your job and pursue your dreams! Sometimes,we have to take a leap of faith and believe in ourselves!! 🫶🏼✨
I love slow videos such as these! How long have you been making jewelry?
Thank you so much! I bought my first soldering kit in March of 2022…so, it’s almost been 3 years!
Beautiful 🤩
Thank you very much 🥹🫶🏼
So weird they don't let people record.
So annoyed with this…
@ totally! It's So silly.
Beautiful 😍
Thank you very much 🥹
Great work, if you handle lab grown stones you may want to wear gloves when handling them. I noticed on Aliexpress the sellers were listing the lab grown stones with a prop65 warning.
Yes, you can use liver of sulpher to oxidize Argentium. Glad to have found your channel.
Oh that’s so awesome to know!! Thank you!! I’m so glad you’re enjoying my content 🫶🏼🥹
I realy love your way to record this proces. It is a pleasure to look at. And the ring you made is very beatiful. Congrats! I only have one little disapointment...i would like to see your speaking cat...so please next time? I’m sorr for my english, i am from Belgium ans native dutch speaking.
I’m glad you enjoyed the video but I’m afraid I don’t understand where you said “speaking cat…” is it something technical I’m missing? If you could elaborate, I will work on it!
@_withlove_jewelry don’t you have a cat? I thought that you say that she/he was talking en that you needed to work. Well i was disapointed that i could not see your pet, you cat 🤣
@@Bloemeke200764no cat, I do have a dog but he goes to work with my husband so he usually isn’t home when I’m working.

I start the real work now. I already do wire weaving but my new goldsmith table arrived yesterday. I’m sososoooo happy! I have cancer and it is the last stage for me... the time that remain i will make the real juwelrey for my relatives. A juwel to say thank you for all you did to me and the happy moments. But i really start at the very beginning. Even the saw blade putting in the saw dont work by me. Soldering...nope, no succes ... i’m very very sure that i can learn a lot from your video’s in a short time...cos time is my biggest issue to struggle with. So thank you sweet lady to share your knowledge.
Hi Vanessa! Just found your videos! I enjoy them very much. I’m an crafter that has been wanting to do metalsmithing for a while now but haven’t been able to find material to teach me! I really love your work! Although I haven’t worked with precious gems I have worked with really small beads and stone so I feel your pain with trying to manipulate or collect them! U probably already know this but at any craft store u can get these pen like tools for really cheap (like $5) that have adhesive like points to them to help pick up stones that r super tiny((2mm or less) without harming the stone! Their called jewel picker tools! That might help u get the gems out of the bags and place them easier?! Hope this helps! Can’t wait for more videos!
Oh and how do I find your store? I’d love to see your jewelry!!
That’s super cool! I didn’t know that! Thank you for sharing!! And, I’m so glad you’re enjoying my channel 🥹🥹If you are looking for a more personal process, my instagram subscription might be helpful for you! I have started a series where I go through every step of basic processes and will elaborate on more complex ones!
You’re so sweet!! My website is withlovejewelry.net. I am not very versed in YT so I’m not sure if it’s in my info 😬
@@_withlove_jewelry Thank u!
Beautiful, and yes please!
Thank you!! I’ll make it happen 🫶🏼☺️
I don't get why you can't film/take pictures. It's free advertisement for them when people post their pictures/videos online.
I KNOW!!!! It’s such a dumb policy!! This is the first time I’ve ever had an issue…🙄
I love going on field trips with you!!🙌🏼💕💕💕💕
One day, we’ll go together FOR REAL!!! 💕💕💕💕
Really nice
Thank you very much ☺️🤍
The storage issues with photos/videos and creatives/artists is a true problem. Since I started making in general, even outside of jewelry, I have had to “upgrade” my storage several times. I think it may be time to get an SSID drive just to save all the old stuff to make for new but man are they pricey.
It’s soooo true! I have a ton of sd cards and an sd reader I can connect to my phone to store stuff on. But, unless I bring them with me everywhere, I usually don’t always have what I need when I need it…it’s a cheaper alternative but not ideal
Hi Vanessa! Loved hanging out with you tonight.
Thank you so much, Taurie 🫶🏼🥰 I’m glad you enjoyed it!!
Omg so pretty ……I drop everything on the floor 😳too
Thank you so much 🥰🥹 it’s the worst, isn’t it?? 🥴
Hi Amazon woman! Great week! 🌺
OMG I ran out of oxygen when I had to cast a few days ago 🥴! I got back and went to cast again and realized I forgot I also needed propane 😤. It all worked out! Where did you order your caddy from for your Oxygen? I need one so bad!
It came with the torch! I bought my torch setup from Seattle Findings. This caddy only fits the small propane tanks but they last me months before I need to swap them out!
@@_withlove_jewelry Ahh ok. I'm currently using a very small propane tank with a Smith Torch, but it's the one that came with my school kit, so it didn't come with a caddy.
@@_withlove_jewelry And I forgot to mention, the ring looks beautiful! I love working with that beaded wire! I bet that beaded ring with rainbow sapphires would be so beautiful!
@@marquettabreslinthank you so much, Marquetta 🥰🫶🏼 that would be gorgeous 😍
@@_withlove_jewelry I have a supplier in Sri Lanka if you're interested, I can share her info with you. 😊
So, what was the advice?
Use lubricant!! It made sit so much easier 🤩
You so beautiful so I had to subscribe, ❤
Thank you very much 🙂☺️I appreciate your support!
One day I’ll make jewelry in my home as well. So sweet that you’re making this beauty custom gift for your husband
It’s such a rewarding journey! Thank you for your kind words 🥹🫶🏼
Get you some gator tape or rubber finger tips… they save my fingers a lot 😅 Michelle
I’ve heard of both but haven’t purchased them yet…maybe, I’ll give them a try 🤔
For major non custom retailers that makes sense. You have stock and you wanna turn it over, a really big ring costs more to make and if it sits that's bad. For custom who cares it's made to order.
This is awesome, what would the price be for the same type of ring in the video as a size 3.5?
You can find the prices and option on my website: withlovejewelry.net 🫶🏼
So cute. I love it. ❤
Thank you so much 🥹🥰
Hi
Great job and the final result is breathtaking for sure.
Thank you so much 🥹🫶🏼
This ring is SO beautiful and so special! 😭💕💕 I LOVE IT!

the ring is gorge!
Thank you so much, Taurie 🥰🫶🏼 I’m so glad he likes it ✨
I love hanging out with you while I work.😊
I’m so glad you enjoy it 🥹🥹
I did😊 but not a ring I made a spider with 3 flush mounted Mizambique garnets 1x 4mm and 2 x 2.5 mm Im busy with a hornet Amber abdomen, 8mm Topaz thorax and 2x 2.5mm garnet eyes, the wings are inlaid with mussel shell
Wooow, this sounds amazing!! I’m sure they’re stunning pieces 🤩
I made one for my hubs out of sterling and of course he’s not used to jewelry so it’s all scratched up already but I’m not allowed to polish it except once every 6 months and it’s truly the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do (or not do really). I’ve also had similar problems with the texture blocking. Looking forward to finishing the video to see how you handled it😊 I’m sure it will turn out beautifully 🤩
🤣🤣🤣I never thought about not being able to polish it…let’s see how I handle the wear and tear 🫢🫣
@ but having the matte portion on the inside bigger portion is so good for that because it won’t show as much 😊
You never fail to make a ring
@@StuckDesert I have had some epic fails 🤣 this was not one ☺️
😮 nossa, não é tão fácil assim 😅 dá trabalho pra fazer.
It wasn’t easy but I’ve learned how to make it easier ☺️
The ring is absolutely beautiful. Since you're using argentium silver, have you tried fusing your joints together instead of soldering?
Thank you so much 🥰🫶🏼I have fused Argentium but I don’t have as much practice with fusing so I chose you solder this ring ✨
Beautiful it turned out amazing
Thank you so much ☺️🥹
Wishing you the best and more beautiful years to come! Thanks for the amazing videos you make and share.💎❤️💯
Thank you so much 🥹☺️🫶🏼
I have a jooltool and I make my own stones mostly turquoise but you could totally fix them if not to badly damaged. The facietng is a learning curve that’s for sure but it’s just another milestone to reach 🎉 Nice job!
Thank you! The plan is to learn how to facet and cab when I get all the tools so hopefully I can salvage broken gems ☺️✨
Hi
The look on your face 😁 Priceless!!! ❤
I had been trying for two days and had no success until this…I was ecstatic 🤩

So lovely! Great job with the setting, I've got one of those dremel engravers but I've not really used it much, this is a good reminder for me to try it out. I have trouble sawing straight lines too. I draw my line with a permanent fineliner now because when I try to cut on a scratched line I always lose it. Also, I didn't see what type of saw frame you use, but I think it's an adjustable frame. I changed over to a fixed frame and my sawing improved (I've got a Swiss Grobet fixed frame). It's not a very deep frame though, so if you need to saw deep into the metal it's not so good. Love the ring ❤
Thank you so much!! Yes, I LOVE my dremel engraver! It makes bezels into butter 🤤 I’ve gotten better with sawing since this video so I guess practice has definitely made improvements 💪🏼 I hope you find a new love for the dremel engraver and it makes your setting so much easier 🫶🏼☺️
