Just waiting for AC Shadows
Love this, I love history & assassin's creed cos I can kinda visit places
Hi. I dont think it is a monkey. It looks more like a dog. And in a position hé is pooping. Also the gentleman in the middle is not wearing a pink skirt. But something you would call a puffed trousers. Have a good day
Qos is an interesting god. modernly little is know of him, given that the Edomite peoples who Worshiped Qos where exterminated. Given accounts Qos appears to be a "brother" God to yahway, which makes it all the more fascinating that our knowledge of this brother God mostly ends with the slaughter of the Edomites. This relic given the dating here, is actually a few centuries after the Edomites were eliminated (it's particularly noteworthy that the Edomite people were notably intentionally eliminated rather than adopted into the conquers society). Perhaps there is more lineage of Qos worship around where we can find better insights about this figure who was seemingly intentionally wiped from history. One fascinating connection about Qos is his worship by the Edomites. They are the descendants of Esau, from the story about Esau and jacob. so when we consider that Qos and yahway appear to be brother Gods, we can also recognize that Qos is worshipped by the descendants of Esau (the Edomite people), and yahway is worshiped by the descendants of jacob. connecting the knowledge of jacob and Esau, jacob stole Esau's birthright by being deceptive & evil. well, any worship or knowledge of the god Qos seems to be practically nonexistent, while yahway is the one of the most worshipped gods today. The descendants of Esau see their brothers god go on to spread across the world while their own god is forgotten, just as how the Bible tells of jacob deceiving to steal Esau's birthright.
Wikked! I own a repro of this image on a wooden burned edge setting. It's awesome and I love it coz o relate. Living with pain everyday this is me. In th gorge of Hades! 🤘🇦🇺🤘
There may well be some artistic license and some inaccuracies but let's face it, this is as close to a time machine to Ancient Greece WE will ever get. When I was a kid I had to go to a library and read books illustrated by people with little clue as to how it really looked. Now look what the kids have! They can walk amongst the wonders of Ancient Greece, they can see it, hear it. Origins is just the same. I love this game that even in around 450 BC the civilization was so old many great buildings are in ruins, the same in Origins and Ancient Egypt. The research and attention to detail into all of this is more deserving of an Oscar than any Hollywood set artist.
I went to visit Barcelona recently and saw Carmela. Once returning back to Cincinnati and going past the art museum I saw Isabella. It took me by a pleasant surprise. Same artist. Different places.😊
Dang I love history nerds!
Lovely story telling ! Learnt a lot, thank yoi !
I wish she could have seen Sokrates 😊. He and Alkibiates stole the show.
so fascinating
I have a shiva parvati bronze that style 7”
Would have liked to hear about other methods to make a bronze statue. Lost wax method was interesting.
Good explanation. Thank you.
adorable bronze sculpture and a nice presentation.
I'm really loving this game. I been in Greece two times for holidays, love the country and people, they are fantastic. And the greek history is really great and important. So i am playing this game recently and..wow.. unbelievable. Great video thanks!
I have to say, witnessing her joy at the highly (though not perfectly) accurate detail of the game was as much fun as playing the game.
Why are you obnoxiously running past everything at 1000 mph exactly? Kathleen is half way through a sentence and you start climbing all over everything. Why?
Are these three figures earthenwares?
I decided to do an Art final on this painting and this was very helpful! This information is hard to find.
Now show her PC version with ultra graphics :)
Great work. Very powerful poem. I love the Nina Simone inspiration!
I first learned about strigil use while translating Latin > English text in High school c. 1993. Currently as an RMT, I practise Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization or IASTM. Stainless steel tool use during manual therapy treatments is quite effective.
Thank you for this talk. It helped my research into a conversation piece we inherited.
I'm so enraged and offended by all these culturally insensitive inaccuracies (sarcasm)
I love her so much. Having her as a backseat player would be a treat.
I would like to ask the archaeologist where are all the stolen artifacts from Greece going to?
Really enjoyed this.
This felt like home, awesome job Camille! :D
Thank you so much, SoL! Your piece was absolutely beautiful!
Beautiful performance, Ryan! SO much history with great storytelling to match. :)
This was lovely, great job Laura. "The Fabric of My Life", Golden!
Thank you for having me! Great job Haley, this turned out so well!
Herakles slays Busiris!
Thank you for sharing this video
Simply Fantastic. Thanks. We call it mottled glass. I have used a lot of drapery glass. It is so expensive I cut it with a diamond saw to stop losses.

It's embarrassing that a museum of this quality lets this kind of misinformation out. Georgia O'Keeffe and Adams adored each other and had a very warm relationship. I don't base this on some obscure message as your speaker does. I base this on the fact that I was told this directly from one of Ansel Adam's last assistants who sat on ansel's couch with Georgia O'Keeffe and went through all the photographs of her that were taken by Adams. I expect better information from the speaker and the Cincinnati museum.
Sadly, he can't define what the difference between an agriculturist or farmer is different than a horticulturist.
So often it seems the Old West is either overly romanticized or flatly characterized as a time of darkness and horror. I appreciate that Remington here has taken a realist approach, seeking to represent a snapshot in the life of our western ancestors truthfully, without any artificiality. I’m certain that the relationships between the people of this time and place were complex, and paintings like this one make me feel curious to know more about what their everyday lives were like.
I preffer the classical style of paiting profesor.
That sounds like a dream job.
Still love this game...
I cant believe some random japanese guy stole weezer's cover art and got away with it
I would watch her react to this game for hours
I was recently watching videos about Arthur Kings works. I had no idea similar work was so prevalent. I adore Klostermans looks, so elfin and magical herself. Lovely that you inspired such an avid lover and collector of this periods jewelry, a remarkable resource and inspiration. Thank you for this erudite and passionate video.
I also have the green velvet jacket that she wore if anyone at the museum is interested in seeing it.
This is my grandmother. If you would like some more personal history I would love to share!
Amazing paintings
