We can't beat them when they're hauling for pennies on the dollar. $80,000 a year and I don't own the equipment...? I took that deal. Best of luck to you and everyone at the company, I really hope they wise up and start paying for better drivers because at the end of the day they'll have more late loads, accidents and downtime with the penny brokers.

Max weight 105,500. Had one month my average was 6.6 mpg driving by the sound of the turbo and how the truck felt so maybe….it is….. you?

Not in the Trucking Business but Home Deliveries. Back when my pops started his LLC, he was making pretty good money. Now, we started seeing an increase in foreign workers doing deliveries at lower rates. This has made the industry readjust the rates making the payout cheaper per day, but know with increase in insurance, increase in diesel, increase in worker compensation. All to say, back then my pops was making more than today. He is in the process of leaving. Growing, I was thinking of sticking to it, but as I got into my senior year, we started see shit go down, and I decided to go college. I did not want to deal with the stress and low payout. I assume it’s similar to this situation. There has to come to a point where shit implodes. To be fair, I ain’t mad the foreigners, everyone deserves their bag, but these greedy companies.
