Mike was a famous sculpture and Vietnam vet.
Is this the wrestler/ manager Hippie Mike Boyette funeral ?
Doubtful. The wrestler died in 2012.
Thanks
Mill Canyon rd., on Mill Creek, according to map. whats the significance of the place? Also im not getting the title, its a video not a pic. Also its not near Tahoe, must have been a Tahoe trip? I haven't traveled that side of the Mojave much. Its a great desert!!!
It’s the easiest engine to work on and I have no experience at all I don’t event know how to do a tune up and I just put a new timing chain kit guides, gasket and cylinder head and I forgot to put that bolt on then I got an antena magnet And a Allen tench with taped to a ratchet and guide it in. Whuuui whooooo
Can anyone tell me the part number for the tailgate regulator on my 86? Thanks
Can't imagine what the purpose of this video is. I'd like to loosen the belt on my identical machine but this does not show anything I can't see by crawling under it.
Showing only face ? But why? What is the purpose of making this video?
That would be a Vertol CH-47D of Columbia Helicopters Inc.
Phenomenal
awesome
Mike you had me worried, mine came right out. This bolt requires some high temp sealer on the last 3-4 threads to prevent l leak thru , probably why she can be a pain. Nice video.
clear eyes, WOW
Mike. If the motor is fried, is there a way to lower the window? Or, is there a way to bypass and unlock the gate with the window "up" ?
Well it's not that complicated but it does rank up there with one of the dumbest designs I've seen and I've been a mechanic for 30 years
you're just incompetent. quit whining!
Honestly I'm not being sarcastic here or messing with you this is an honest question. Was there a reason you couldn't get a 6mm hex socket and use a 3/8 drive ratchet to get the bolt out? Looks like you took pliers to it and everything else and I even saw some guys notching groves in the side of the bolt to get a screw driver and hammer on it to get it to budge but I assumed it was because they were just half assing and didn't have a hex socket and didn't want to spend 2$ to get one.
Ahh I answered my own question ... I guess it gets welded to the head over time and then it gets stripped. I'll hit it with some penetrating oil but there is no way in hell i'm taking a drill bit to my intake.
5 miles 'north' of gaviota is the mountains. This is west of gaviota.
PCV hose should go from valve cover to intake manifold. The firewall connections look like heater hoses to keep your feet warm.
Muy buen video, muchas gracias!
I had a similar problem where I couldn't loosen that nut. I was afraid to break something from the force i applied, but I got desperate and was willing to take a chance. I used a ratchet and attached an iron tube 3ft long, about 1+(1/2) diameter and let the lever do the work. that came out easy.
I fully agree, what a mess to figure out....
Thanks!
Thank you sooo much! My pin was bent so it was not fully releasing the relay. Problem solved!
you have no clue what your talking about.
Haha now that's the truth... second PCV... black electronic, brown electronic and blue electronic... crack the cold fuel injector and if sprays everywhere then you have good fuel pressure... AFM issues will fry your engine... egr is 94% of failed smog test. This guy just makes up shit as he goes haha
Can I get rid of all the emissions control crap ?
If you live somewhere without smog checks you can buy emissions delete kits. LCE makes good kits for trucks like this.
Depends on your state. If you have a smog check and/or VISUAL inspection, it would fail without OEM equipment. I live in South Carolina and there are neither checks... I took it all off AND the air injection system AND the Cat.... runs like a champ. Understand that all that equipment was put on there by EPA regulation. The engine was DESIGNED (EPA regulation on MAX closing distance to head from piston=100/1000 inches, this produces POOR compression) to get poor fuel economy (so you spend more money at the pump= MORE tax dollars= MORE money for rich greedy controlling people), but it would fail emissions set up that way... so in comes EGR and Air Injection System + Cat, which clogs the hell out of your ENTIRE intake system.... which should be clean clean clean. Thanks EPA! good looking out for your wallet... ermmm I mean the environment.... criminals.
thank you for identifying that bolt. I've been going crazy for hours trying to get it out
I just undid both those lines that ran behined the head and then unbolted the head and lifted it off enough to clean and replace the gasket with an engine hoist
Enjoy the duck. The video is not the reason for the post. I wanted to get a message to Donald Trump.

I just keep a small rechargable lithium battery next to the extended leads. I wrap the leads around the tail gate door lock. then I manually connect the wires to the battery lowing and raising the window.
Please help me out guys , the back window on my 4runner wont go down it will only go up with the swich by the shifting stick or with the key on the tailgate but it It will not go down, .. what can i check or do to it?
+Sergio Lopez Take off the panel. At time 1:18 on my video you will see two screw nuts. One white the other orange. Remove the screw nuts and add 18 inches of wire to each to the the white and orange leads. Connect the leads to a 12 volt battery. It will allow you to open and close the window. This is now how I work the window since my swithces and relays are broken. I use a very small sealed 12 vote battery for power.
+Mike Dunn ok , so it now works only with the switch inside by the shifting stick or how do you control it, or make it go up and down? or yo just connect the wires directly to the battery every time you want to make the window go down or up?
that is not a horseshoe crab
once you get the panel off it becomes easier to recognized things.
OK man, I know there is some good information here, but the camerawork?! It's killing me. Back out every so often and let the viewer get his/her bearings. I use an old school 12V auto battery charger and just break that factory wiring connection close to the motor. up/down is just a matter of putting hot to the right wire
i can disconnect everything you just stated in literally a hour and a half
Scarface, you were lucky. If I had rushed, I would have broken two head bolts and another intake bolt. Used to change head gaskets on a Datsun pickup in 6 hours. It took me a month on the 22 re. Your comment was mean.
So did you not have to loosen off that lower nut?? I'm a strugglin with mine now. aaaarggghh :)
Justice Brothers Parts Blaster. and The 22Re is not that tough guy... really It's not that tough to work on. dont over torque the bolt under the cam/dist gear or you are certain to develop a crack in the head through the timing chain cavity.
Thanks for the video man! helped me with reassembly.
This video was answer to prayer.. Thank you so much. After tightening all bolts near this one I used a 12mm wrench on the outside and the 6mm inside and was able to get it out. First head gasket replacement I've ever done. Started with the hardest I'm learning.
That's a desert iguana
My efi keeps blowing any tips?
You mean the electronic fuel injection system? If the car starts the EFI is not the problem. If you think the efi is malfunctioning, check for a cracked o ring on each fuel injector where it inserts into the fuel rail. Or make sure you fuel pump is working. A fuel pump will run at about 34 psi on the 22RE motors.
short in wiring, probably O2 sensor(s) connections. Inspect wires from main loom, especially up and under intake manifold as well as under vehicle, along the frame.
I use a 12v lithium battery to raise and lower the window. There is a relay on the drivers side about 18 to the rear of the drivers seat. Under that panel is a relay. I believe it is broken and needs replacement before the rear window will work from the switches by the stick shift.
I'm doing my head gasket right now amd just learned about this, the bolt is starting to strip. Once it's out though i'm replacing it with a regular bolt
Well the window is busted again. I cleaned the switches by the stick shift. One regulates the back window. Well it is clean but now the back window will not go up or down. The switch on the tailgate is not working either. Luckily I removed the panel and used a 12 vote battery to lower the window so I can lower the tail gate. That windown should have come with a crank.
I had the exact same problem. That sucker was very hard to get out!
HAHAHAHAHA I had the same issue as you! Except I had troubles locating the damn thing!
This a cooper's hawk: no mustache and short wings (a prairie falcon's wings would nearly reach the tip of the tail). Beautiful raptor anyways.
Thanks for posting up, putting my '86 Toyota 22RE back together after blowing the head casket. Over heated & wasn't paying attention to my gauges. This was a help, & although I marked (I thought) my vacuum lines, still managed to rub the markings off. And in reply to Mike, he has it right, the timing chain & timing chain sprocket on top of the cam have to be at TDC. They are not removed w/ the head. Good idea to tie wrap the chain to the sprocket sprocket, even though the link is marked.
A milled head decreases the air but not the fuel in the cylinders. Thus the fuel/air mixture is slightly richer. To lean the fuel air mixture, remove the cap at the mass air flow sensor. Screw clockwise to lean the mixture. do no use flammable gasket material to reseal as this will affect your mass air flow sensor.
