It's in drop c, but you can just tune the e string to c because the whole song is played with on string, which is the e (c) string in this case

The bass is not bad. Actually for it's price is quite amazing. It is literally the cheapest new bass guitar you can buy in Europe. It even comes with D'Addario strings, not some unknown chinese brand. The problem with the low end instruments is the difference in quality between two identical guitars. I was lucky and mine was flawless it only needed setup and sounds and resonates quite good. But it could have just as easily had a major defect. You have to take your chances but you can always return if it's bad.

Thanks. I don't remember settings. They wouldn't help you anyway because everything from playing style to string freshness, not to mention other gear in the chain will have effect on end sound. So what works for me won't work the same for you and vice versa. In the beginning I always looked for settings from someone else. The truth is that you have to ignore what seems right or someone says is right on the knobs and just turn them to hear what you want. Then if you know what you want is just a matter of minutes to dial in a sound. Well, if you don't know what you want there it gets tricky :) Generally this sound has everything in it. I just don't cut the mids and boost the lows as many bassist do. I leave everything in and just enhance the treble do get a little more grind. And there is a bit of overdrive too. It's that simple. A little more bridge pickup in the mix always help for aggressive metal sound, more if you have humbuckers and bass with darker woods in it, and a little less with single coils and lighter woods like in this case. Did you use pedals? What kind?

I would run the pickups vol on 75% neck/100% bridge or the exact opposite. This tone has beefy mids and running both full cuts mids.

+Giacomo elbarto 10x! This one has active MEC pickups with active electronics, compeletely stock. Not sure if there are other modifications with passive pickups.

It's actually quite simple. Plug in the bass and play, then correct what you don't like and emphasize on what you like. I just did that. Good luck and thanks for the compliment!
