Thank you for this. I just ordered a new base model m2 with DEEP discount (200 bucks off) on Amazon and I wasn’t sure if I made the right move. Truth is, I had no choice. I could not afford to pay more than the 800 bucks 😅 For context, I had a 2019 16” MBP with 16GB RAM until it died. And I used it for Xcode mostly.

Hlo sir . I am a student and will start my coding journey from next month . I am just looking for macbook air m3 16gb unifird memory and 512gb storage . I am basically taking this macbook for coding , web development , watching lectures etc . Is this sufficient for me or should i go for macbook pro m3 pro 16gb unifird memory and 512gb storage . 8GB of RAM?! Hard pass. The laptop will struggle with Slack/Teams, 20+ browser tabs, and programming IDEs (IntelliJ or PyCharm) open at the same time. 16GB of RAM makes multi-tasking comfortable on MacBooks.

I like your videos, but I think the Xcode benchmark comparison is wrong (unless you tested the M2 again alongside the M3). The author has updated the benchmark, making it a harder compile on all CPUs. The original results you got for M2 in 2022 cannot be compared to the ones you get now for M3 because it's essentially a different benchmark.

i do mobile game development, does it heats up fast? in my country it gets pretty hot nowadays.

Last week I purchased the M2 13 inch for college, previously I was a windows user for past 10 years, first computer at 8 years of age, it was difficult for first 2 days, but now I am loving the machine.

I am gonna start my Bachelors in CSE next year and conclude in 2029 should I buy m2 air base 8gb ? Will it be able to handle all the curriculum till 2028-29 i dont wanna do video editing just wanna do my degree in cs software engineer major ?

As a full stack and mobile developer, the m2 base model is handling well all my needs.

I bought this to use for ps5 but the mic is really bad.. Sound quality is amazing but in a call with my friends it sounds horrible

I just bought a pair of these used from a local game store that didnt research them so I paid $30 USD for them. The website has replacement dongles if you get it used and parts are missing. I recommend these even at regular price. I have neck problems and they are so much better than bulky heavier headsets. The audio is perfect and there is a pc program that allows to to make adjustments for the sounds settings when connected via the dongle.

Well, I can't afford a 16 GB RAM one; here in Brazil, it's about 15 minimum wages. Would a Mac m3 with 8GB suffice? I intend to program in Java, Kotlin, and practice Swift, emulating, etc...

I dont have 16/512 option in my country, so i have to go with factory version like 8/512. Is 8/512 enough?
