I use a waterproof wood oil,this oil can makes your wooden projects waterproof but you can't hold liquid inside the glass for long time because it can hurt By the way if your projects isn't for foods or drinks you can use resin epoxy and etc🙏

Do you think a board butter (beeswax coconut oil mix) might help with water (beer) resistance?

I haven't enough information about it. But i trust the companies that making waterproof wood oils They know somethings that we don't. But you can test on a wood piece after sanding to 320 grade

There are several reasons for this: 1. The wood was broken into 3 pieces and the last piece was used for the lid of the container that you saw in the previous video. 2. The wood designs were in the center of it. 3. The wood was not smooth.
